I don't buy footy jerseys usually but I'm seriously considering this one, looks freaking awesome!
With the limited release though and Brisbane being league crazy they will probably go for ridiculous prices which I can't afford lol.

Wish I was in Sydney, could of got jerseys for $50 and $1 origin tickets.

Still not good enough reasons to wish to be a Sydneysider.

As far as the Jersey goes, I don't see what all the fuss is about, we're a QLD team and wearing a jersey without maroon just is not right.

I wouldn't want it as a permanent jersey but it's a damn cool one off jersey.
I wouldn't mind the heritage jersey being our main jersey however I actually like our normal jerseys besides the massive WOW logo which stands out like a sore thumb.

Why do we NEED to wear maroon though? QLD does and that's awesome, but the Broncos are different. I think our traditional home colours are fine the way they are but as for away colours, I don't see the reason why we need to have a fixed colouring system as long as we don't have shitty colours like that aqua jersey a few years back.

FTR I wish NRMA was our main sponsor. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the wow logo looks fucking HORRIBLE.

Your intentions are fairly obvious when you frequently make sly remarks about my race. It's completely irrelevant 99% of the time yet you seem to bring it up time and time again anyway. Rugby League is the WORST sport in the world for getting sponsors on jerseys while keeping the jersey looking good at the same time. Why can't it be done? Every other sport seems to be able to do it properly. AFL, Union, cricket etc. Why can't we?

But it's Nike, Classic etc that designs the jerseys. How would it make a difference? I know some sponsors need to alter colours and backgrounds etc, but surely that wouldn't cost the clubs money?

Sponsors write in really specific things about their "brand guidelines" as far as what colours, sizes etc they can use.

As broncospwn say, we're desperate for money. So whatever the sponsor wants, sponsor gets.

I wish WOW would blend their logo into the jersey, but the white background is there for a reason - they are a principal sponsor and its more exposed that way. This is the last year of their contract and will probably be renewed.

If they got rid of all that white space and just had WOW on there it wouldn't look anywhere near as bad.
As above poster said I think it's part of the agreement because my making that huge white space it makes it impossible to miss(and very ugly as well).

I don't think we are desperate for money. we still make a decent profit especially compared to the other teams in the comp (who don't). maybe we don't make as much money as we used to; probably because of the GFC.

I also read when we were changing from Ergon to WOW that the Broncos front of jersey sponsor was the most expensive in Australia (of all sporting clubs). but that doesn't stop us from having plenty of companies wanting their logo on the front of our jersey.

Agree - I don't mind the jersey itself, but it isn't a Brisbane Broncos jersey for mine.

Also I hate one-off jerseys. I don't have the specific figures but I am pretty sure we tend to lose way more often than we win when wearing "special" one-off jerseys.

Also re the sponsors thing (having worked with a number of them over many years working in sport) they are truly very anal about their brand. They basically spend a lot of money in the design of logos and then brand everything they do with that logo. To start tampering with colours, size etc etc actually reduces the value of their brand as it is not as instantly recognisable.
