Next Broncos coach

Who should it be?

The next thing you know is that we will be hearing about Milfrod
I don't think Milford played last night, did he? Probably lucky he missed it. My fervent hope is that his contract is not discussed, at least not discussed by the 2021 board until after the 21 season is finished.

If that happens we may get at least one season we deserve for the money we've paid him. It's going to be delicious in 21 to see who is the new senoir player letting the team down. I wonder who it will be and who will be his defender?

Every other club that has sacked their coach this year has locked in their next coach and have started planning for next season. By the time we make a decision, the next coach is already on the back foot.

We are doing our ‘due diligence’ apparently. Just like we did last time...

I wonder if Lockyer or Morris will even bother turning up to the interviews, just as they didn’t (at times) last time around?

I don’t think these imbeciles understand the meaning of the term ‘due diligence’.

Well we'll know who gets the job based on which interviews they turn up to

Nope. He didn't. Our kicking game was crap, and Dearden looked lost in the halves despite SOS trying his hardest.

As for playing to his contract value, well, yes, we deserve much, much better from Milford. And I will be at the forefront of those criticizing him for any poor form, rather than in the vanguard who defend sod ordinary from our FB. At least we will save $1600k wasted for the last 2 season which we can now spend on recruiting someone the team really needs.

And after 21 we can save a further $1,000,000 a season we've wasted for the then previous 4 seasons. We could have bought a lot of talented hard working players with that $4,000,000 we've utterly wasted. Oh well, in 22 we'll have an extra $1,000,000 to spend. Even more if Bird goes. I'd say both Bird and Milford have provided equal value over the last three years.

I love fishing. I find raw prawns are good bait. Land some real whoppers

Thanks for sharing. I only seem to catch old and decrepit fish, way past their best eating.

Elderly, yet very firm. Well, that's what she said last night. Well, twas a good dream, not a dry eye in the house.

Maybe you should try some subtle seasoning instead of a tenderizer?

She? Trying something new hey?

I have to say I have completely lost all faith in our front office and I now doubt their capacity to make a correct call.

I would have thought that in a COVID19 environment with the economy potentially going belly up, with the club having its worst season of all time there would have been some imperative to inspire confidence in the club's supporters and shareholders.

Knowing that the CEO is finishing up, and also having knowledge that it was likely from about the West Tigers game that you would also be moving on the coach, would you not have brought forward the recruiting process for the new CEO and had the appointment announced by now? Even if there was a 2-4 week overlap with having both White and the new CEO in place to conduct a proper handover.

The new CEO in this period could have overseen the review process rather than leaving it to the end of the year (with the added benefit of having fresh unbiased eyes and ears making a determination of where the problems lie and what changes need to be made).

Instead we seem to have the process that is currently unfolding where we are going to be well into the off-season before those hard decisions are made.

The same commentary applies to the coaching situation. It must have been apparent at least 2-3 months ago that Seibold was a dead man walking. Why stuff around in the manner that they have regarding the appointment of his replacement? The new coach should already be appointed and working in the background either assisting in the review, sorting out his coaching staff and working on the plans for the off-season.

It is a sad fall from a position where our club was one of the shining examples of a well run club to where we are now rivalling Parra at its worst.
