There is about 3 geniunely good coaches in the game currently and we have no hope of getting any of them.
Why bother with other teams sacked nonsense.
It appears to me that process has already started.if we can't win a premiership without Bennett being involved we might as well shut down the club right now.
I don’t like Green for a couple of reasons
the 1-17 meme where he wouldn’t drop players, and also stayed too loyal to his barely-winning premiership side
his (and JT’s) bleating in press conferences about ‘we waz robbed’ after games. You can be critical of refs without giving the impression you deserve to be given the upper hand by refs which is what it ended up being because when teams think of are told they’re good, they don’t believe they do anything wrong.
Plus he just doesn’t strike me as a good coach
He had a 2 minute premiership window and managed to have a game handed to him in that time.
inb4 someone says ‘yeah but what about B2B with Wynnum-Manly?’ - that was almost a decade ago.

This can and will probably be dismissed as some anti-Cowboys revisionist history, but I just don’t think Green is what we want or need.

We need someone to re-coach us.we need someone to coach us
This is all I need to see. We can't hire the one coach who has actually performed worse than Seibold in the last 3 years. If we're going the have faith, the coach will turn it around angle, then we may as well have stuck with Seibold.33%

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but at this stage utterly incompetent would be a step up for Broncos management. There's no way you need all this time to decide, if the board didn't already know who they wanted before they sacked Seibold, they're utterly incompetent.
Agree.I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but at this stage utterly incompetent would be a step up for Broncos management.
Unfortunately it is not possible to show the board the door so there is a real risk we are going to get more of the same.Agree.
WB and JD seem to be doing ok at Rabbits but so did Seibold. They all struggled here that’s why they were all removed.
Clearly Richardson, his recruitment/retention and front office were on the ball.
Whoever becomes our new coach going forward will face the same problems as our previous lot.
We therefore have a bigger problem then selecting the right coach and that’s not solely fixing the front office - its finding someone who has the know how and guts to be able to do it. He needs to have the competency to identify the root cause for our over time fall from grace. Those responsible, no matter who they are, need to be shown the door quickly and we need to get on with it.
Agree.

……..
You have a point about Green, he's been readily available for some time. I just don't see either of them as a great choice. Perhaps there's others or another being considered? The rookie coach, if we get one might be CS9 ?? It's quite intriguing and unsettling to not know or worse, what if the board is paralyzed by fear and simply cannot see a direction? At this point in time i am certain it will be Walters for two reasons:
1) Hes still got a fox commitment, announcing now and bringing him in would mean he has to leave fox before end of season.
2) Green is completely a free agent, could walk in at any time - but this hasn't happened. If he was going to be appointed it would be done by now.
Got flogged by Warriors and St George in couple weeks towards the end I know I was there for both games at home. Yes, in front of 35k+ home crowd at both games they struggled - piss poor.Uhmm, wot?
JD and WB here beating the top 4 (except Storm) on the regular is struggling?!? OKKAUY
Not unusual for members of a board to step aside. Besides a board is there to either accept or deny decisions or submissions. I’m talking about the person or persons smart enough to come up with right ideas to present to the board for consideration. A Shane Richardson, Peter Parr type I guess.Unfortunately it is not possible to show the board the door so there is a real risk we are going to get more of the same.
Slothfield reckons we should go with Paul Green, not Kevvie
sights a whole lot of club legends that sucked at club coaches (Freddie Fittler, Dean Pay, Wayne Pearce, Mick Cronin)
then says that good Origin coaches don't necessarily make good club coaches ... he uses Bellamy as an example.
This board aren't going anywhere. If they had an ounce of accountability or respect for members they would have gone by now.Not unusual for members of a board to step aside.
