Yeah, Kenny would be a great choice. Fantastic off the field, and is settling into a forwards leader role quite nicely. s

Yeah, Nick Kenny will piss it in

LOL I am probably the only person here who thinks this way but I find Kenny massively over-rated. There is no way I could see him being any good at origin and no way I want him as our next captain.

Yeah well it's not the first time you've shown you have NFI :P

LOL still a good player I just think some peope cream there pants over him too much..

IMO Parker deserves it he's a consistent player, he's been around long enough to know what the club culture is and he seems to have the respect of the players... Kenny is a nice guy but he has only played 50-odd nrl games and i think that what you need most from your captain is experience!

But i really think Petero is coming back in 2011... So he'll get it!

I think Parker will be the next captain mostly by default, I don't think he is a leader.

Sammy is the only player suitable at the moment, I'm not sure of his leadership qualities but he would be a better choice than Corey.

Kenny is too old at this stage of his career to be a captain.

I'd like to see how Glenn and McCullough go over the next year before we consider either.

Kenny is only 26, Locky was older than that when he became captain

True but Kenny has 50 games to his name at his age, Locky must've been on his way to 200.

By the time Lockyer retires, Kenny should be closing in on 100 though.

Kenny has also been around the club for years. he has been loyal to us, even when he found it tough to even get a spot on the bench, and IMO he has taken his game up a level to try as best as he could to minimise the losses we have had in our forward pack in recent years

Hmm..yeah. Good point. I still think he needs more experience at NRL level really but he would be a better option than Parker for sure.

my Vote has to go to McCullough, He should be groomed for the role starting now. He will be a 1 Club player.

It really depends on where the team is at. If Lockyer retires with a premiership, then it will be a continuation skipper (Parker). It's kinda like our cricket team. Australia was dominant, so when Tugger retired it went to the Tasmanian retard, not because he was the best candidate, but because they wanted to keep things the way they are as much as possible, including the hierarchy of seniority that currently existed.

The alternative is the reform skipper, which should hands down be Alex Glenn. It's probably unlikely that this scenario would eventuate though.

McCullough or Glenn would make great captains but I feel they will be a bit too young for the job when Lockyer retires.

Haha, can't imagine Hodges at captain. He would probably been sent of twice every game for saying stuff to the refs.

Can anyone say co-captains? =0
Kenny and Wallace
Bailey and Prince

Jk

There's certainly no standouts compared to what we've enjoyed in the past, but from the group we have you could make cases for Kenny, Parker and Thaiday IMO. From the younger generation i'd agree with the suggestions of McCullough and Glenn, but experience would rule them out and who knows what will happen with them in the years ahead. They may end up playing Fumbleball by the time they're ready for the job...

i prefer a 80 min captain, i would go for wallace, it'll probably give him the confidence to go to another level and take more controll when lockyers gone.

I hate Co-captains! If you go and ask random groups of people I think the majority of people will say that Prince is the captain

or itll put to much pressure on wallace and he will go into his shell

After the way Parker has played this year I would be happy to see his name back in the ring.
