NFL 2014/15 Discussion

Percy Harvin to the Jets in exchange for a conditional pick (mid round apparently). That was a dud deal for the Seattle given they gave up three picks including a first rounder for Harvin. They gave up way too much for him and overpaid too.

Huge decision. Now what for Seattle?? They really need to find a decent WR.

There are decent free agents coming up (Cobb, Thomas, Smith) but they would be pretty hard to get. Most of their team is pretty well settled so I think they would probably go after one of the top rated WRs on the draft like Amari Cooper by trading up if they have to.

Doubt they'll have the $$ to make a big play for a gun WR though.

This surely has to be the reason they let Harvin go. IIRC he was on $10m/year which is now the Jets responsibility. That's money they can use to pay Russell.

Yeah I had a feeling they had to upgrade Wilson. I think the Seahawks will have to go for a gun WR in the draft or try and pick up an ok but not top $$ option in FA.

I don't even know if they really need it. I mean, Harvin barely played last year, and all they had instead was Golden Tate. Sure he got a return TD, but take Harvin out of that team and they still won a superbowl. Seattle are a defence and run designed team, so as long as they keep the first one strong and the 2nd one functional I think they'll always be strong.

Yeah good point I forgot about their salary cap issues. I can see them going for a WR in the early rounds of the draft.

Or maybe they are just making room for Hayne.

Saints are just killing me this year. Fortunately no one else seems interested in winning the NFC South so they're improbably still in the running. A record of 9-7 or 8-8 might win it....

Yeah Panthers have been dreadful as well. Their D is no good this year

Great win by the Niners @ the Saints Dome, which is no mean feat, but always very enjoyable Culhwch. :thefinger:

Sad to see Lattimore retiring before ever putting one minute in a NFL game, as he was one of the most promising RB's coming through in the last decade, but those injuries were just too cruel.

Niners fans - always classy!

Saints gave it away with too many turnovers, and not capitalising on the only turnover they created. They're excruciating to watch this year, giving up games right at the death. Could so easily be 8-1...

Haha, I actually like the Saints... watch me have a go at the fucking seagulls!

The game was good and a great way to come back from that awful display against the Rams. Could've gone either way...

Glad Aldon Smith is back next week, we need all our troops back on board if we're gonna save the season.

Ahmad adoodie Bradshaw on IR, big blow for the colt's O unless Richardson can step up.

There goes my second most productive RB... hope T-Rich can indeed step up, as it would actually be in my benefit.

Richardson is so shit. The Colts would do well to get Blount or Tate off the waivers.
