Stop changing the jersey every year.Too expensive for the ordinary worker.

 Maybe the Unions can argue for "jersey subsidies" for these "ordinary workers".

Or maybe they don't have to buy new jerseys every year.

Spot on.

My 2002 away jersey is still well and truly doing the trick. *might* update again this year, but that's still only a big maybe.

Exactly! I bought 2 jerseys recently - a 2007 home one going dirt cheap, and the heritage jersey for this year.

Before that, the last jersey I bought was the 2003 celebration jersey. It was 2XL so was totally useless for me after about a year because it was WAY too big! [icon_lol1.

I bought a couple of training jerseys in between (ok, bought 2, was given 1), because they're nice shirts to wear to the gym, go for a run, or just around the house. Nice and light. And half the price of a playing jersey.

I don't understand why people have this attitude that if the sponsors change, or the jersey design changes, they have to get a new one. If they want to do that, that's fine, but don't whinge about the cost!

Kid peer pressure.Kids who want the new jersey and parents who feel obliged to get it.(more fool them)
I don't like free advertising on the front of any jersey, shirts or whatever so buy the 'generic'(for use of a better word ha) ones for my kids anyhow.Cheaper, they get the number and name they love on the back and are happy.

I would like a traditional Bronco jersey that remained our trademark forever. Not swopping colors every year.Never happen due to the sponsor thing and all but would be nice.

Teach the kids that it doesn't really matter? If you keep giving them it year after year, the peer pressure is somewhat actually caused by you.

I agree with some sentiments here, particularly:

- Put the national into National Rugby League.
- Enforce the scrum or abolish it.
- If a coach or player requests a release, they are sidelined for the year. Contracts need to mean something.
- Discounts for loyalty to a club - veteran status for 10 years+. We need to stop the attraction of quick money in the UK

Plus some new ones:

- Chief/Senior Commentators of whoever provides the media coverage should commentate the main games of the round, not remain in Sydney because of other "committments" or "convenience".
- Allow Foxtel simultaneous access to live coverage with their own commentary. It works in Union for Internationals, the more coverage the bigger exposure for the game.
- Top place getter at end of regular season is the winner; no finals series.
- Return of SL style World Club Challenge and/or Champions League equivalent.
- Windows 4 times per year for announcements of player departures and arrivals

How can I be teaching the kids peer pressure when I don't even buy them the jersey's? eusa_think
Great points raised in this thread by all.Be a good thing if the NRL actually took the time to look at what the supporters of their games are thinking.

On a small silly note. All black hair dye to be totally put on the prohibited list.Fair dinkum do they have a bulk supply around the clubs? [icon_drun

I think after last night's terrible performance yet again, the NRL needs to do something about the Rabbitohs. The mistakes they make are childish.

They need to be removed.

Surely you don't want to see another 80,000 faux-protesters led by Ray Martin marching up the guts of Sydney and taking the game back to court? You're not allowed to touch Souffs...

Perhaps if those supporters actually went to games, helped their club, they might have a bit of cash to get some decent players.

Nope, kick them out. They've had their second chance to impress, and they have failed at it brilliantly.

I always found it funny they got so many fans to their street march when they got kicked out, but they could hardly get even 1000 people to a home game in the years leading to getting kicked out. Bandwagon anyone?
