Hit his shoulder so no need for 50/50.

Should have been a bit of a give away that Brimson stayed on the field…if it hit his head it would have knocked him out.
First contact was shoulder but then proceeds to hit him flush in the head.

Brimson should have come from the field 100%, but was always going to go close to a sin bin.

I just looked back into it mate he hits him in the head... I'm happy with it now.
Similar to those arms sliding up from shoulder except way more forceful... Was legit their 5th penalty straight too even without the rule around those player lying down situations.

I still cant get over how dumb the Titans were. Parras makeshift left side was barely tested. They kept attacking their right side with an actual winger playing wing and a center playing center.

No issue with the penalty…sin bin went too far. Plenty in the post show agree as well…

Isn't the rule though with those situations is it can't be a penalty unless on report or binned. If he's on report and that's their 5th in a row I'm going mental if he's not sent.

On a side note - Not whinging about any call surrounding it but in Sami's try interested to hear people's thoughts on whether AJ was tripped by Moses or if Moses was playing at the ball and leg gets in the way.
Edit: On second look nevermind.

I thought a case could be made that Moses tripped him on the way through... but it would be a hard one to call.

He kicked it through and Moses chucked a leg out... but then he kept his leg out. I think Moses knew by keeping his leg there he was making it hard for Brimson to get through, but he's also entitled to throw a leg out at the ball.

It's not black and white but when you make forceful contact to the head you're running that risk. I didn't see the post-game panel, but I'd imagine the decision would sit easier if Brimson had to also come from the field.

Can be a penalty and on report, doesn’t need to be a binning. First contact of course but in all honestly how many tackles that first hit shoulder/arm and then go to the head are binned? It’s usually just a penalty even if on report.

Not sure why you keep referring to the 9 in a row (not sure what number the Paulo one was) because they were all different enough or spaced out to not warrant any repeat warnings. At no stage was it a situation of Gutho next one gets sent

Forceful is up for debate…how many players are binned for tackles that hit arm/shoulder and go to head after? Penalty sure but not many binned.

Regardless, didn’t cost parra the game so it’s probably going to be deservedly quickly forgotten about

Can she sue for assault ?

I assume it's classed as trespassing so she's fair game as far as being subdued with reasonable force. She didn't get punched, kicked or dropped on her head so there's little recourse to sue when she's breaking the 'law' in the first place

Has everyone just slept through the last year? The sin bin wasn’t in the slightest bit controversial, If it was Flegler there wouldn’t even be a discussion. He’s going to be missing a few games. But it’s a Sydney club, so it becomes controversial 🙄

Spaced out but 5 in 20 minutes isn't normal mate. That's just about 1 every 2-3 sets. None were for slow off the ruck either so decent infringements. Anyways enough about that he got binned as players have been for a while for forceful contact to the head. Problem is also it is his shoulder hitting the head with absolutely no wrapping until a second after. If it's an arm that bounces off the shoulder probably just a penalty. Whatever though neither of us is going to change their mind and that's fine.

I'm more interested to see what comes from this game surrounding giving away penalties for challenges.

I said exactly this in game haha. Both with Flegler and him getting a $500 instead of weeks.

What's there to debate? Big Paulo lined him up for a shot, if that isn't forceful then what is?

There is no grade as ‘forceful’, unless I’m mistaken, at the judiciary. That is what will be up for debate.
It's an awkward one...
"* Foul Play - A player will be sin binned for foul play in circumstances where, in the opinion of the referee, the act of foul play is of a serious nature, but does not warrant sending off. Acts of foul play of a serious nature include:

» High Tackles with direct contact with the head or neck which are deemed forceful."
I guess you could argue it wasn't direct contact.

If they go for shoulder charge though,
"» Shoulder charges which make forceful contact with the head or neck of the attacking player or make forceful movement of the head or neck of the attacking player (whiplash)"
(I don't reckon it is but his arms are down by his sides when he makes contact.)

Nvm judiciary I have no idea they make that stuff up half the time I swear.
