It was a penalty try. Bunker assessed that Mahoney would've scored if the Panthers player wasn't holding him back before he got the ball.
 
Panthers fans are hillarious. Blowing up about that call, that was completely correct. Mahoney was a cm short whilst being held back, without a doubt would have scored if not held.

Must be nice to get so many shit calls that when the right call is made against you the fanbase is up in arms.
