I'm fine in that instance for them to support the on-field call.

It was a 50/50, you could just as easily rule it a loose carry and Starling is just looking to prevent the offload.

There is a stripping action, even if he doesn't rake at it, the result is still the same. It was the right call.

I agree, but that's part of the problem.

Sometimes they deem it a steal, others they don't.

Realistically, like this time they should back the on field if they are unsure.

Bradman also had both points of the ball exposed, it was a loose carry.
