Katoa was good, but perhaps the most impressive aspect of his game was his mentality.
I'm referring to the moment he tried to trap that kick-off immediately after the Dolphins scored their first try. He made an absolute meal off it, and the Roosters scored a couple of plays later.
Most young blokes on debut would go right back into their shell after that, wanting the world to swallow them up. But he didn't dwell on it, or let it affect his game, he just got on with it. Shows a lot of character for a young fella, especially considering the context of the match.
