HIA isn't a deterrent cos it's a free interchange. Perhaps it should only be free only if the player can't return to the field.

That way the fakers will run the gauntlet and cost coaches tactical changes.

As soon as he said Te Teko I was trying to see if I notice the background. Not my home town by the looks of it.

Reminds me of my under 13s training. We'd be playing touch while the coaches played on our bikes.

The kids would have found that talk funny with their mates getting teased. Probably get some parent complaining nowadays.

The thing that pisses me off about these crackdowns that come from nowhere is the longer term consequences from the weighting system.

Lodge was nullified out of the game by last year's high contact crackdown.

This year Niukore had a completely innocuous high tackle in the third round and his hip drop that the NRL used to make a statement and get things rolling on their crackdown. Now, Niukore whose abrasiveness is his strength can't fart without future suspensions.

A borderline hip drop in a desperation tackle on a rampaging Talakai resulted in a penalty a full set after the incident, a sin bin, a farcical two week suspension, and a potentially season altering points weighting. Is a quadruple penalty for a non-intentional incident really a fair outcome?

Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing. Walked straight off the mark and pushed over the defender trying to get ot his feet (moving backwards away from the ruck) and the ref gives the rorters 6 again.
