NRL 2026 Round 1 Discussion

Your forwards were really good, steamrolled the Knights but your spine was absolutely awful. Backs very hot and cold too.
Yeah the backs are going to be an issue all year I think. Not exactly flushed with much talent or depth

As Purdue's #1 fan I feel at liberty to speak on this.

The Cowboys were deep inside their own half and as the fastest player at the Cowboys, Purdue shaped as their best long-field option.

Of course, Drinkwater had to be the guy and what the Cowboys should have been looking for was a way to generate a legs tackle and get Drinkwater out of dummy half with Dearden/Purdue/Clifford pushing through but no dice.

As our professional foul expert, what did you make of Taulagi's intercept? Should Ponga have been binned?
I wasn't paying too much attention to the tackle... did Klown call it a 6 again?

If so then should've been in the bin.

From what I can recall Murray was fending Ponga off and he took him down from there basically tackling the arm, but potentially Murray kept the ball up looking for the quick ptb?

Becomes a bit of a grey area, because it's on the ref to call held if the ball is up in the air, and if Ponga is holding onto the arm to then get back to marker then it can become messy.

If Ponga made a second effort after held to then retackle (letting go of his arm)... then easy professional foul

Jerseys always look WAY better with player names on them.

Didn't clear the ruck on that... shouldn't that be a penalty or is that only against broncos?

How would you guys feel if we had Flangan as a locked in first grader no matter what but have a gun half coming through who you know won't get a game while coach is Flanagan?

Can’t believe the Dragons signed so many members of the Tripadeal family.

Word on the street is they are all Tasmanian...which means the Dragons have done more for Tassie in one year than the Storm for Melbourne in their entire existence. Let that sink in!
