Surely there’ll be crowds. Unless we get cases up here, I can’t see why not.

Is this an advantage to us or does the hotel accom and no crowds make it irrelevant?

Or will there be crowds?
I think there will be crowds as QLD isn't a hotspot or in lockdown.

There may be some sort of restrictions on the NSW teams for the next 2 weeks, but I'm not sure.

It should be an advantage to us as our squad, coaching staff, etc. will be unchanged from a living perspective. Whereas all the NSW teams will be living in a bubble for the next 4 weeks.

We play Wests, Penrith ('away'), Cows and Knights ('away').

So we were scheduled to travel to NSW twice in the next 4 weeks which should both be in SEQ now... and we will be playing 3 relocated teams out of the next 4, with the 4th (cows) having to travel to Brissie.

So it could be a nice month coming up for us...

Wests on Sunday in the middle of a relocation and the players looking like they've had enough of Madge. Could be a disrupted week for them

Penrith relocated and possibly without Luai and Cleary

Cows struggling as much as us

Knights relocated, but have Ponga back.

The NRL has said no change to the schedule but you just wait, we will get a game or three moved from Brissie to Broome just 'cos.

"No Broncos, you aren't playing the Tigers at Suncorp. We've decided that you will be playing the Storm in Melbourne instead, as it's in the best interests of the league."
I saw that Hooper asked Abdo last night if the draw would be changed.

I was like why the **** would the draw need to be changed... we're 3/4 through the season and relocating won't see us lose any games or rounds, so there would be absolutely no reason to change the draw at this stage.

unfortunately with Vlandys, that is usually a reason to do something

So based on that article it sounds like we won't be able to go to Broncos v Tigers on Sunday????
That’s what it looks like- hopefully they can change their mind given that the restrictions are being lifted on Friday.

From what i can see there's nothing about crowd restrictions in that article.

and the Broncos haven't sent out a member mail about no crowds (which they did frequently during the Brisbane lockdown before the sharks game) ... on the contrary, i today got a member mail about a pre-sale window for Origin 3

If there’s no crowds why relocate in the first place? They need every dollar, there will be crowds admitted

Doesnt really make sense for a QLD home game to not have crowds.

I daresay it is a miscommunication from the reporting ... the NSW teams arent bringing their supporters with them so people in the crowd will be QLD based and have been abiding by the state's requirements.

I did notice that reporting on the lack of crowds has been followed up with "V'Lando is working hard to overturn this decision"... so reporting may have been deliberately miscommunicating to make Vlando look like a hero when Brisbane fans are allowed to go to a Brisbane home game

Yeah, I think you could well be on the money there. PVL is the saviour after all.

It says that the QLD government doesn’t want any crowds for matches involving one of the 12 relocating teams for the first three weeks of the hubs..... but PVL is on it.
