It's easy to say this now and bag out members for comments they made earlier in the season, despite a lot of those being correct at the time.
Morgan was a bloody average player without Thurston and was only ever successful while playing next to Thurston because of the amount of pressure it took off him, he could just focus on running the ball. Back then, he wasn't the player he is now. He's had to work bloody hard all season at his game to make improvements in the areas needed in order to be successful without Thurston and full credit to him he has done that, but it wasn't all rosy. Morgan struggled a lot without Thurston to begin with, he looked lost and couldn't guide the team around the park. The Cowboys lacked direction and didn't have much attack-wise so they were pretty easy to defend.
