Interesting, Paps apparently can only run in water as I imagine there is less pressure on the knee there and not on land right now. Best case scenario is a round 6 return though Melbourne seem to suggest round 10 is most realistic at this point. They are also suggesting he may not return this season. You'd have to wonder, is his career in doubt? A shattered knee cap is a significant injury.

I genuinely thought he was done the second he did it tbh. It just feels like another JYY situation to me. This combined with his concussion history...it wouldn't surprise me if he calls time. Which is a shame, he's young and great to watch.

Yeah I was thinking JYY too. Even if he comes back, is he going to be some ability, agility and speed?

Yeah I'm in the same boat as you guys, when they said fractured kneecap - and showed the x-ray, geez that was ugly - I wondered how he'd ever come back from it.

He's young enough, so there's a chance, but for a guy whose strengths are his speed and agility there are huge question marks there. Would be a shame to lose him from the game, he's certainly exciting.

**** the Storm, though.

Beau Fermor has done his ACL and is out for the season... shame for him because he was really hitting his straps last year and had Foran lined up on his inside this year.

I feel he has done his ACL before hasn't he??

I'd feel sorry for him if he hadn't tried to elbow oatesy that one time

That's bad news for the Titans as he was a good pickup for them. With the way results are going though i think they will still be in the picture for a top 8 spot when he returns.

Growing up playing footy through the system, recently one of my friends/foes (on field) has been diagnosed with early stages CTE in his late 30's.

I hope that anyone that views NRL as the equivalent as WWE, that they realise there is serious consequences to brain injury. As great as it it feels on field to be bashing your way through a brick wall and conquering your opposition, the long term consequences far outweigh the immediate heroism.

Shaquai Mitchell is out for 8 weeks with a lisfranc injury (type of foot fracture).

Souths say it was caused by an illegal hip drop tackle by Radley in the 41st minute. A tackle that wasn't cited by the MRC

Didn’t the Tigers’ Papali’i get suspended because of a Newcastle rip off the MRC? Dangerous precedent set but also, this is why fans accuse the NRL of favouritism. Suaalii gets preferential treatment as opposed to Kaufusi, or at least that’s how it comes across and Radley doesn’t get anything. And of course JWH has spent a career getting away with stuff.

That sounds like the same injury Hastings picked up when Carrigan copped his suspension last year.... but different jerseys and all that...
