The entire burgess tackle was ugly: marginally high, marginally choker, then finally hair pulling. On a debutant winger, in a game he should have been sitting for anyway. He was getting suspended for the whole ugly look of his game. Not just hair pulling.

The Burgess incident has highlighted how stupid the ex-players in the media truly are. I mean don’t get me wrong I always knew they were stupid but they seem to lack a grade 3 level of comprehension. The amount of times they had to have it explained to them that he is missing the game because of the loading he has, not that it was a hair pull is truly mind blowing. Could they even tie their own boots up when they played?

Yeah true deserves a month at least. Got any footage of the incident? What minute it happened in?
56th Minute

NRL.com is usually handy since they outline all the charges.

Vunivalu gets an offload away to Olam, McGuire tackles him and then flicks his leg out as Smith happens to be running past.

I think he means TPJ on Philip Sami.
Still different. Sami was never falling.

When you look at the JWH tackle in real time, by the time Knight started falling JWH had already committed and didn't have time to pull out. He doesn't swing the arm and the way he performs the tackle is legal. High contact happens as a result of Knight falling.

It was a pretty standard tackle gone wrong, shit happens. Penalty sufficient, but not a charge.

You literally just described TPJ's tackle. Except unlike JWH, he didn't get him with a swinging arm.

And Copley interfered with TPJ on his approach to the tackle.

The judiciary is the laughing stock of the sporting world after this year. The NRL is cracking down on players for "bringing the game into disrepute", what are they doing about their own systems? The best we can hope for is that the end of season review is actually a genuine attempt to change things for the better, otherwise the game will continue to lose support.
