Dunno... all the halves came in the space of 1-2 years. Was like Bhunt, Ash, Milf, Moses, Norman, Cronk, Morgan, etc. all moving around or re-signing on inflated contracts.

Fifita happened, but no other big deals happened with him. Fifita has largely failed on his big deal, so now clubs can see the risk.

Managers are like "Fifita got a ton so my client should as well"... except clubs will be like "yeah nah... titans were just idiots"

Player valuations are bent out of shape in general. Player managers act like there aren't another 29 players to fit under the cap...Some of the forward contracts over the last 5 years.

Woods, Tamou, Napa, TPJ, Fifita, Kikau, and Klemmer, come straight to mind. Also thinking McGuire went for money at Cowboys.

Player managers are the Covid-19 of Rugby League. Then there's Hunt, Taylor, Milford, and pile on. Clubs have been seriously burnt by big contracts over the last 5 years.

Yes, 6 again has changed the game, but also tidy up the off field; Player managers.

If they were running Sam Williams at halfback (don't know if he's first choice) then he's a big upgrade on that, and for the Titans, Fogarty could potentially have no spot next year with Brimson moving into the halves and Sexton looking like he'll be ahead in the pecking order.

Good move for both clubs although the Titans will need to hope Sexton doesn't have 2nd year syndrome, and can stay on the field because their depth is light with Taylor and Fogarty moving on.
