NRL Player Movements & Rumours

The Roosters really are perfectly suited to snagging Smith's signature. We've been saying for a while now that you can't go that hard in games and not wreck your body in a few years. Even if they can't medically retire him, no one will be shocked if he returns a 3rd or 11th failed drug test. Then the Titans can sign him for $1 million a year.

Fox Sports: ‘Livid’ Storm could cut ties immediately in sour twist to Smith blindside. https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...y/news-story/5dbefac47ac57ee9c0a654526e07cdee

There is no way Brandon Smith would not have considered that podcast would provoke a reaction from the Storm. If I was Bellamy I'd be playing Smith 80 minutes every week with no rest at Lock and then spelling Grant at hooker instead of releasing him. Flog the **** out of him and send him to the Roosters with a concussion and a busted shoulder.

I dunno... BSmith comes across as a bit of a dumbfuck so every chance he thought he was basically having a chat with his mates.

I mean YKTR is Corey Norman and co, so they probably had him downing pre-drinks and nose candies before the interview.... probably thought he was basically at the pub just having a general chat.

It's like when you wake up the next day and see photos from the night before like "ahhh **** what did I do"

He's been down in Melbourne being able to do whatever the **** he wants because no one has any idea who he is, the past 12 months where he's become the 'hectic cheese' is probably what he's been like the whole time, it's just no one gave a **** about what he was doing down in Vic

See id be inclined to sit him out no training with the fg squad send him to the roosters fat and random white powdered up

“I’ve asked the Integrity Unit to review the podcast and provide me with a report”.

Unfortunaly It seems B.Smith may only be investigated RE his behaviour/manner on the podcast (*potentially* bringing the game into disrepute).
If only the NRL was as interested in investigating these golf games which seem to result in players falling head over heels for the Roosters..

While i agree the way the player transfer market needs an overhaul, it certainly always makes for some good entertainment over what can be a drag of an off season.

The Brandon Smith one is interesting and i really hope it continues to play out in the public. If ego's get the better of people it really is the perfect storm.

You've got Bellamy who we know is captain hard ass and will blow a fuse at the drop of a pin. Then you have an incredibly stubborn storm management and we've seen how they react when they lose their ceo (make life as hard as possible ror the receiving party). Then you have smith himself who doesn't seem overly intelligent and appears to have been blinded by the roosters "good guys" act.

Then on the other side you have the roosters who see themselves as top dogs who can get anyone they want and when they want. Could be the start of an ugly war both on and off field between the two current powerhouse clubs of the competition.

Just wait until Tripp opens his mouth and uncle nick decides to retaliate.

Currently listening to the B.Smith podcast, I wanted to know what all the fuss is about.
I like it, it’s an insight the average punter doesn’t normally get.
Like the bloke or not, it’s an interesting listen and noticeable his love towards Bellamy & now Robinson. Not much on Bennett, which is interesting.
Sounds like the Rorters really do know how to wine and dine.

B. Smith saying "Man it would be awesome to win a premiership in that jersey" referring to the Roosters is vomit material. I'd be incensed if that was a Broncos player honestly, absolute disrespect to the club that made him and pay his bills, even if I can't stand the purple cheats.
Mate I can’t fucking stand the Storm and even I feel bad for them, this is pretty awful tbh.

speaking of golf games it was reported that coincidentally, Tripp played golf with Cameron Munster and Ryan Papenhuyzen over the weekend.

Watch out tou might get the "shut up with the conspiracy crap" people shouting from the rooftops. If anyone truly thinks succesful private multi millionaire owners wouldn't throw a few grand at players outside the salary cap to increase their likelihood of success they are as gullible as bloody 5 year olds

Outside back Jesse Arthars will play for the New Zealand Warriors on loan for the 2022 season.

The 23-year-old will then return to the Broncos for the 2023 NRL season to complete the final year of his contract.

The Broncos wish Jesse all the best for the season ahead and look forward to welcoming him back with more first grade experience under his belt in 2023.
