I dont know why they haven't enquired about CNK at the raiders. Ricky and bellamy are apparently mates, melb have a strong NZ contingent, and CNK has been playing in nsw cup.

You can't tell me that in all of the NSW and QLD cups there aren't one or two guys that could do a job for the Storm in the back end of this season. they could offer several players train and trail style contract that would cost them **** all ... hell, aren't these type of players supposed to be Bellamys bread and butter anyway.

but that isn't good enough for Melbourne, they expect the clubs best players. they're not chasing players on the outer at their clubs (like most mid season transfers), they expect the whole competition to bend over and do what they want. they're not chasing realistic target like Isaako, CNK or an Ikuvalu ... they expect clubs starting 13 players.

I hope Walsh starts for the Warriors this week and tears the Storm a new asshole, handing them their 5th straight loss in the process

David Nofaoluma needed to leave Tigers years ago, he should kill it at Storm.

Being able to change clubs this late is a joke, and the NRL need to fix this shit quickly. Once it hits round 13 all player movement for the year should stop. Clubs should only be able to sign players from outside of the NRL after the halfway point of the season.

In all seriousness, does a smart top of the ladder club follow this precedent. Leave some cash and spot spare and then reach out to teams that are out of the finals race and offer to take their star player for the rest of the season so they can front load contracts for next season giving them a shot at improving their squad moving forward ?

Its stupid. As someone above said, after mid season it should only be players not in the NRL. I’d even be happy with bringing in super league players, at least that is an entertaining idea.
