NRL Players and family members in hot water

NAS suspended for 3 matches and giving a suspended $15,000 fine.

The reason why he got the suspension is that security had de-escalated the situation after Suli got punched and NAS started it back up again.

If that is the case, then 3 matches is weak by the NRL. Should be more.

Hadn't heard that security had it sorted, at least not in the same way we would accept it here as being sorted.

Also, I'm pretty sure the ban is not from the NRL. Didn't the NZRL ban him from the tests, and the NRL said, yep, harsh enough.

The ban is from the NRL, there is a media statement on NRL.com where it says NZRL have been notified of the suspension.

Media on Twitter reporting that security had de-escalated the situation and that NAS saw the guy that attacked Suli outside the club some time later and started the brawl.

It would be great if the NRL could be completely transparent and post the findings of the investigation.
 
I wonder if mainstream media is now going to change its tune. Up until now they’ve painted NAS as a hero, Vunivalu claiming he saved his life etc.

Doesn't matter. Let the relevant laws deal with it.

We were made to believe that Vunivalu was under attack and NAS stepped in to protect him. That seems to be in doubt now. The danger was abated and the situation under control. NAS wasn't protecting his mate, he was out for payback.
 
How lovely of our wonderful club to give Haas a 4 game suspension when every other club fights tooth and nail for their players and the NRL would have dished out an absolute maximum of 2. Luckily he seemingly forgives us for throwing him under a bus.

Worked out in the end. If the NRL suspended him for a certain number of weeks he would have been ineligible for Rookie and Prop of the year.

Or hopefully we are moving beyond the sweeping under the rug *cough*Roberts*cough* - and Haas buys into it. It was too harsh, and might have cost us. But it didn't **** his attitude up, that's for sure. He has bought in.

Cronulla star Josh Dugan has reportedly been embroiled in an ugly nightclub incident during an off-season fishing trip to Airlie Beach in far north Queensland.

The Daily Telegraph said the Sharks centre was with a group of friends who were involved in a punch-up at Boom Nightclub on Thursday night before being kicked out by a bouncer.
Dugan was personally involved in the melee, according to witnesses cited by The Telegraph, and had to be calmed by security.
