NRL Players and family members in hot water

Jesus some of you guys are fragile.

First off, let's not forget that Mam's crash incurred injuries to people in the other car, including fracturing a young girl's hip. So, regardless of what he was eventually charged for it's pretty ****ing bad.

Secondly, the Rabbitohs are in damage control and he won't end up playing. He's been a prick and a troublemaker his whole career so he's definitely not going to get the "it's not his go" treatment. He's ****ed if the charges stick.
Yep it's all about the optics with mam. Wouldn't have been as big as it was if he didn't crash his car and just got pulled up.

Sure but already the media is coming out with there are things in his past he’s had to overcome, I want go into detail but he’s overcome a lot (slight paraphrase).

It mustn’t br that bad if they are letting him play. He wasn’t even in Qld when it happened. He’s had to fight back from injury, really feel for the bloke and so on.

Wasn’t it reported a few weeks ago he was stopped at an airport by qld police?

It would have been, it always is. Remove Mam from the situation and you have 2 less severe instances this weekend that highlight the hypocrisy in the media with us.

Des sacked and it is open that Hannay has had the job for weeks. No dramas at all, not a single raised eyebrow (FTR I agree with, you should always have your successor secured, that’s good business). However, when we sacked Kevvie and we already had Maguire lined up there is outrage and attacks on the club for weeks and months in some cases.

Then look at the Walsh stuff. Gives a guy a try on his milestone game in a no risk situation, no Knights around and made sure Kobe was ready to catch it (I know Kobe has butterfingers but Walsh threw it to him the way you throw a ball to a 5 year old) and it’s arrogance and being a show pony. Nikorima does it to Herbie to keep his streak going? That’s just classy! Corey Allen to Alex Johnston when he was going for The Ken Irvine Medal? What a guy!

The media can get ****ed, I hope they all James Hooper themselves.

So as Radley has been named by Qld police in the summons as the person Smith supplied cocaine to, will Politis stay true to his word earlier this year and sack him from the Chooks?

That quote from Politis - "My view is if somebody’s caught doing cocaine or leaning over snorting something, we’re going to get rid of them,” Politis told The Sunday Telegraph. “Our stance is zero tolerance. We are very strong on it. Trent [Robinson] is very strong on it.”

Let's see if the Chooks walk the walk or are just full of shit.

To be fair to him, he wasn't caught doing coke.

Coke is just part of the current society, at an absolute minimum I'd wager that 40-50% of the NRL dabble.

Radley is probably already passed the concussion threshold for retirement, this would get him off their books. Teflonesco continues to be around a lot of dirt though without ever being soiled.

Interesting to see how the criminal charges that come from the alleged betting issue with Brandon Smith play out. Seems similar to Bock and Shaw incidents in AFL. Although they didn't progress to criminal matters. They got about 6-8 week suspensions from memory.

You would guess it relates to texts Smith has been sending to the cops real target and he was just collateral damage.
