NRL Players and family members in hot water

**** they rammed him without vasso. Thats a fair chunk of money for getting caught messaging the wrong bloke. Should have found a different dealer victor.
No idea what the obsession is with the stuff…

I don’t give a **** if people do it, I’ve had my fair share, it’s just ****ing overrated.

30k is a lot for a few bags innit

Pure speculation here but to me it seems like Smith's guy has been busted and thrown everyone under the bus to do a deal.
How else did Smith come on to the police radar.

Isnt something to do with some relation of smiths who.is heavily involved. Cousin. Saw that somewhere

Radley a 10 game ban and 30k fine from Roosters.

So much for zero tolerance lol. Politis said they will sack anyone, no matter who it is.
Sack anyone cought sniffing it. They wouldnt be able to sack him for what he did. Did enough that they could actually be allowed to. Still think the RLPA will have their say one way or another

They seized the drug dealers phone and saw all the messages on it, and who he had been messaging.

Then they seized Smiths phone.

I can't believe how much the media seem to be downplaying the betting thing.

The standard response seems to be "all the players would probably be telling their friends and family that they are playing".

I'm sure that's the case, but I don't think they should be under the terms of their contracts, most probably aren't doing it via text messages, and most probably aren't stupid enough to talk about betting based on the advice.

He told people info that wasn't available to the general public at the time he said it, then people bet based on that info. Surely that is the very definition of "insider betting".

Sure it's not match fixing, but it's still rather dodgy imo.

For buying coke?

Yeah they absolutely can considering that's an illegal act... They took the moral high ground with their so called stance and they opted not to sack him because they would have had to pay him out.

I hope the Broncos are straight onto their lawyers to get a retraction out of Anasta.
He just repeated the line again that Mam drove under the influence - he was never charged with this. Surely this is slanderous.
Crawley with his broncos hate boner as co-host i wasnt going anywhere near that episode tonight.

What if he has the ball and instead of passing to his unmarked team mate he tries to go himself to get his multi up. I used to be so suss on the morris twins back in the day because they would NEVER pass if they were about to be first try scorer. Like never.
