It's really hard to get a gauge on a side when their opposition is absolute dogshit and refuses to defend. Take nothing away from the Storm and Manly but any team with a touch of attacking flair or flat track bully would put scores on the eels and cows when they decide they don't want to tackle.

Trying not to apply my Brisbane bias, I feel like the Roosters performed the best out of the eels and cows. In any scenario, some worrying signs for a few teams early on.

Unless you are handed a top flight team a la Trent Robinson, why would these assistants take on a head coach job?

You'd surely take your time until you got a roster you could work with, you only probably need 1 half decent season and you'll get a few contracts after your first one.

Anthony Griffin would be a good example.

The ins and outs at Parra were pretty insane though … on a purely quantity level… and apparently there are more on the chopping block (seems like Bryce Cartwright is on the outer)… so it’s a pretty drastic overhaul going on with the roster as well as a new coach, but that new coach has been making those calls
