CROSS FORUM NRL Round 1 - Las Vegas

Lesson too kids, never change your tip. I selected the Raiders earlier in the week...went to look again today and swapped to the Wahs.
Yep I thought raiders looked good through the trials... looked really slick and actually had some attack instead of grinding slug it out football.

Then I remembered sharks put points on them and wahs dominated storm ... I decided to forget that raiders dominated sharks for the first 20mins of that trial before taking everyone off and storm played no one in that trial vs wahs.

Webster will be first coach sacked if they keep this up.
Won't take long before someone like Kidwell or other kaway starts agitating in the background.

Yeah there has to be question marks on Webster for sure. In fairness, losing AFB, Harris and Johnson are going to be tough to overcome in one offseason, particularly given Harris pulled the plug so late but still, these are some of the obvious problems out there:
CHT over TMM - every man and his dog can see this is the wrong call
CNK over either of RTS or Tuaipiki at fullback, either of the other guys would be better, much better
If you really want CNK, put him at centre instead of your number 3 who is terrible defensively
Ford on for way too long
Barnett and JFH off for way too long
A massive difference between their starters and bench and so many out of position out there
Not creating a game plan to take advantage of your team's strengths

The Raiders obviously have youthful enthusiasm, they will be really inconsistent throughout the year but I like what they are building there, a clear succession plan.

At minimum TMM needs to play in the halves and RTS needs to play 1.

There was so much made of RTS 'wanting' to play wing over the off-season too, I don't get it.

A big concern as well is that raiders look far far fitter than wahs... not a great sign to be getting so physically dominated in round 1
