The ARLC has approved the continued expansion of the NRL Telstra Women’s Premiership from 2025 with two new teams announced as part of an expanded 12-team competition.

That makes 12 teams. I think that's the number it should stay for a few years at least and they should now look at extending the length of the season to get up to a full home and away season
