Broncos looking to bounce back after a disappointing performance against the Titans.

It isn't panic stations yet for the junior Broncos, but there were some troubling signs on Friday and they've been given a week to rectify it or else.

They'll face a good test in Manly. This has easily been the Sea Eagle's best year in the Holden Cup since 2010 when they had the likes of Willl Hopoate, Michael Oldfield and Garry Ricardi coming through the system. This year it's been about Tommy Turbo with the likes of Demetriou, Knight & Pearsall leading the way in his absence.

Both teams met back in Round 13 where the Broncos clawed back to lead late in the contest, only for Manly to square things up with little time left. Brisbane were without Taylor that evening, so they'll be looking forward to the maestro stepping up and being accounted for.

Should be a season defining game for both teams, I can't wait to see what way it goes.

This weekends game should be a great test for the young Broncos coming off a poor display last week against the Titans, Manly will come out blazing.

Niko would have played last game against Manly yeah?

Nope.

This was the team apparently.

1. Jacob Gagai 2. Jonas Pearson 3. Jaydn Sua 4. Jarryd Dodd 5. Sam Leach 6. Jayden Nikorima 7. Will Brimson 8. Sam Lavea 9. Jayden Berrell 10. Lindsay Collins 11. Lachlan Lanskey 12. Alex Barr 13. Jai Arrow
Interchange: 14. Kalolo Saitaua 15. Keegan Hipgrave 16. George Fai 17. Michael Molo

Or atleast the one named, I don't believe TeRupe returned until Round 19.

This one I mean:

6. Jayden Nikorima

That's why we've got to get rid of these unofficial nicknames.

My bad, was thinking of Nikau TeRupe.

Hey Big Pete who do you think would be good to blood for first grade should Parker not backup and Bennett decides to go with a rookie forward?

I'd imagine Bennett will opt for either Stagg or Boyce if he chooses to go in that direction.

I would like to see Arrow be given an opportunity, but I don't think Bennett will want to introduce any new blood for the rest of the campaign if he can get away with it.

Broncos off to a good start. Jordan Drew scores off a grubber, now they find themselves with the footy on the half-way line.

No Tom Trbojevic for the 20's which possibly indicate he will play wing for NRL with Hicku in the centres. Early on Broncos up 4 nil

Also worth noting late changes to the Sea Eagles

Manly Sea Eagles
2. Luke Garner 22. Jesse Boggle 3. Addison Demetriou 4. Jesse Ramien 5. Bailey Shiach-wise 6. Will Pearsall 7. Nick Hynes 8. Liam Knight 9. Hugh Pratt 10. Nicholas Lynn 11. Matthew Douglas 12. Billy Bainbridge 13. Darcy Cox
Interchange: 14. Judd Hanlon 15. Jyi Seymour 16. Dallas Koen 19. James Parker

As you can see Tom Trbojevic is out. I assume he'll be in the NRL side, but I'm unsure what changes will be made.

Prozone Stats for Trbojevic's Round 20 performance ended up 22 Hit Ups (486m)

As I type this, Darcy Cox scores for Manly.

Sea Eagles lead 6-4

Te Rupe grabs his second.

Brisbane scoring all their points down the left hand side so far.

Bulldozing centre Demetriou scores just on half-time for the Sea Eagles.

Broncos lead 20-12.

Brisbane have done well to take their chances when they've come to them but will have to remain alert for the rest of the game. Manly have bombed about three chances so far, I can't see them bombing many more.

58 gone.

Broncos lead 26-18

Te Rupe with a hat-trick.
