Oates has Origin backing that matters

Gagai would have been one of the first players picked if he didn't take the Knights money. If he chose to come to Brisbane, with the right mix of players, he'd be more consistently brilliant than Oxford.

Smith and JT are still filthy that Semi was picked over Oates. If they were BHQ members, they'd have Oates avatars for sure.

Well to be fair to Gagai, he wanted to be loyal to the Knights who gave him a second chance after the Broncos sacked him. I don't blame him for staying, but he probably wishes he did pack his bags when Bennett asked him to rejoin him at the Broncos.

I still see room for Gagai in the backline for us in place of Reed, and I would love a return in the next year or so (whenever he is off contract). I know Gagai prefers the right, but I'm sure he or Roberts could play left centre if it were to happen.

On a side note about JT and Smith being filthy that Semi was picked, I found it quite strange when JT was blowing up at Semi in the test match.

That stuck out to me as well baz. That and he was the only one on the Sunday Footy Show who sandbagged the selection. Freddy and Joey were making a big case for him, JT as politely as he could said he didn't want him in the side.
