What makes you think it wouldn't be a rinse and repeat of the last 3 years where we are moderately competitive during the normal season and bomb out unceremoniously as soon as the finals come, because we don't have that necessary next level...?The knik offload was seriously at the worst time, he could have waited till after we play the warriors. I always thought it would go like this, as in a total rebuild of the team. That's why I wanted Wayne for at least one more year, people can't seriously think we would be in this situation with Bennett coaching.
I have said I would give seibold till round 10 to comment on his coaching, so I will hold judgment but there's some serious cracks appearing imo
Rebuilding? Maybe bloooding a few forwards like Seibs did, but that pretty much would be it. WB has left us with the terrible spine he chose on overs and for long terms too. He was never going to touch it voluntarily!
The cracks are appearing for many reasons, and while Seibold has things he needs to improve such as his bench usage, I wouldn't want to be in his place currently with such a young squad, the worst Fullback and captain in the competition, and one of the worst spine combinations too. Not to speak of all the noise being orchestrated from the outside to ensure he fails, like this article from Ennis which reeks of water carrying favour...
I'm used to go through the pain for the long term gain at my European footy club, so I probably have more patience than most Broncos fans.
Hopefully the board and White continue on the rightfully chosen path of dismissing what was clearly not working, and provide the support to the coach he is getting from nowhere else, so he has the chance to prove them right.
I hope Seibold is the right choice, but even if he isn't, I have ZERO doubt letting Wayne go was the best decision the club could take!
