Panthers allegedly damage premiership trophy

I was going to post this in the hot water thread ... but think it deserves it's own.

Fox Sports are reporting that the NRL are investigating the Panthers for damaging the Premiership Trophy, after photo's of the badly damaged trophy have emerged on social media.

The images show the Norm Provan and Arthur Summons section of the trophy separated from the base and being treated like a baby and put in a children’s stroller and rocked in a shoulder strap.

the NRL are said to be pissed off at the disrespect shown to Provan and Summons

the trophy is worth $30k and will have to be repaired by the club

a replica can be purchased for the winners trophy cabinet, but the original needs to be returned back to the NRL each season

the Integrity Unit have asked the club for a please explain

These kids have been told they are top shit for years by all, including the media, and we are meant to be surprised when they act like arrogant and entitled little *****?

True to their generation, they have no understanding or respect for what came before them. The constant attention seeking hijinks (in this case with a trophy that much better teams have held before them, being treated as a prop for their poor excuse at comedy) for instagram and other social media tools absolutely shits me.

But it will be another slap on the wrist for the team quickly becoming the darling of the league.

yea thats the real question here, Any one thinking any one of there teams players would not act in similar ways after winning gf are kidding them selves.

This is more a **** up by the panthers higher ups for not having the brains to keep the trophy away from a bunch of young footballs who will be on the turps(among other things) for the next week
