Parker set to miss at least 2 weeks

Even then I wonder how they can protect it from being split open for the few weeks after that. The skin will still be relatively susceptible to re-injury.

Probably some padding/strapping to protect it.

Look at how chilled he was:

Tough as nails.

This is ****ed. Sick of injuries at the moment. Two of our starting backrowers out for a few weeks... Brilliant.

I want a better look at the injury. Does that make me a sick person :p

bit of a doubled edged sword. i dont know much about thaidays injury, but if both are only a couple of weeks it might help them be fresher come back end of the year. touch wood we havent had anything (other than yow yeh of course) thats been too serious.

at the same time this period for guys like lui and co is great experience and the team will be better for it, if we do need a late replacement later on in the year.

That's posted above... on this page.

How did it happen???

Parker mentioned it on Twitter. It was his own boot stud on his other leg! It penetrated the skin, and then sliced it open. OUCH!

A mate of mine cut his leg on steel a few months back got infected and ended up with some kind of necrotizing fasciitis. ( Flesh eating bacteria ).

Nearly lost the leg, then was hrs from death, looked like losing his leg a second time and ended up losing most of his calf muscle. Still having skin grafts.

Hopefully Corey recovers quickly and holds the form he was showing during Origin 2

How good was he during the 2nd Origin? If he hadn't of been injured he most likely would have finished as our best forward. May have overtaken Gillett as top 17.
