Beyond the possible disruption to the team and our season, I'm not. I've had a sinking feeling about him for some time if I'm honest. The money he was/is asking for is far too much to be sinking into any forward...that's spine money. Game winning player money. I'm excited about what freeing up that cash can achieve for the team moving forward.

I think the immediate release is probably also along the lines of wanting approval to talk to other clubs... or to at least formalise it anyway... but it would create a constant shit storm for the rest of the year.

It’s true, he has. It’s just shockingly poor timing. I think it’s great for our team balance if he left, even if it was early, it just should’ve been done in the offseason OR done behind the scenes.
