One thing I will say, I don't think linebreaks are what good props are measured on? It's more to do with run metres, post contact metres and tackles.
18 months ago I would of said we need to keep him as we'd lost a few guys like Walsh, Fifita, Coates, Boyd etc and apart from a injured Kotoni he was our only real star, Haas was the guy who was really the face of our club our only rep player. Milford could be thrown in too but he wasn't playing well for a while.Does anyone want them to come to an agreement to keep him here? I'd rather he left.

Let the wanker go. Use his money to give everyone else in the team a 10% pay rise.
JWH makes his money in other ways. The NRL needs to stamp down on this. JWH is on nowhere near the same amount as Haas and they can't even get Crichton signed off. Unless they plan to move them both on for Haas, then it makes a bit more sense..
It actually just seems like extreme hardball tactics to me. Ultimately, it will achieve the same result. Payne might even get shopped around to other codes. Now he is in with that management team, he is theirs. They will take him for everything if he tries to leave. They will ship him internationally if that makes them money. They own him. He is their new cash cow. He'd want to have the game of his life tonight, that's for sure because he's made himself public enemy no.1. He should also sack his fuckhead managers because they've brought all this heat on him, any smart manager would never do things this way. That's not say he isn't a dumb **** himself but it's bad advice for sure.
He is probably a net loss since signing with Smith (Nasser). Apparently he owes/owed the last manager 200k and now the new team will want a certain %. I wonder if they wrote his contract in such a way that it looks like less, but is actually more. He also could earn more if he gets looked after in a cheap, flippable property, which Uncle Nick could probably organise.100% This.
Fifita has turned out to be a dud BUT does/did have the potential to be a game changer. Hell, he did it a few times last year scoring triples. Your Munsters, Clearys, Teddys and Turbos (though injured every 3rd game) deserve that $1m+ tag because they'll win you a game through brilliance.
Haas IS the best frf in the game and was the shining light in an otherwise shitty two years but unfortunately forwards just don't win games. They are workhorses. I can't see another team paying him the $1m+ a year he's after. If he goes to Sydney it'll be a net loss as real estate prices are ridiculous there.
If we lose tonight it's 100% on Haas.
Fifita has scored more tries in a single game than Haas has ever scored in a whole season. I don't want him back but it is a relevant point in terms of game winning money.Probably an unpopular opinion given 2022 form but I think Fifita is worth more than Haas every day of the week. Fifita wins games. He has some games where he scores 2 or 3 tries and wins a game on his own. Haas isn’t going to cost you games, but he doesn’t score tries or set them up so isn’t worth game breaker money.
Feel quite similarly. I don't read much NRL gossip, but looking back at it now, it seems pretty clear he is quite trashy. The whole fight thing where his mum held the guy so his brothers could bash them. The abusing cops after a spat with the missus. The dumping of his manager and not paying what he owes. The Albert Kelly fight over a pair of shoes that cost like $200 probably. If a month ago you told me i would hate Haas more than Turncoates, i would have laughed at you.
I deadset want him to leave the club now.
Nothing good will come from keeping him in the side.
As others have said, he might just be the last of the rot we need to cut out (TPJ, Lodge etc).
He could have gone down as one of the Broncos all time great props. Bloke isnt fit to lace the boots Of Webcke.
