or they think Payne is just throwing a tantrum and they legitimately think they can work through this.

Think the most likely scenario at this point is that it's Haas' management throwing the hissy fit rather than Payne himself. They thought they could walk all over the Broncos, they were wrong, so they threw out the request for a release to try and re-gain the power in negotiations.

Have a mate who was contracted to the cows a few years ago, he's still in touch with some of the boys that were there ie TMM, Jensen. From what he's told me the playing group is privately seething and although no one will come out and say it. I just cant believe he's still playing tonight, i would have no trust defending next to him

I would love for him to somehow score a try tonight and when he gets up for the congrats everyone has walked away.

Does anyone want them to come to an agreement to keep him here? I'd rather he left.

The only agreement I would suggest is that Payne play out the year and they look at options to release at the end of the season.

Make it known that the Broncos are paying no part of his contract and may be open to a trade if it's of equal value.

I dont really want us to look at a player trade I would prefer to have the full $850k available to us moving forward to spend as we like... rather than using some of that up to get a rorters or dogs reject

He has some games where he scores 2 or 3 tries and wins a game on his own. Haas isn’t going to cost you games, but he doesn’t score tries or set them up so isn’t worth game breaker money.

Haas makes meters and draws defenders but his play the ball is slow and his draw and pass /offload game is not a million bucks worth.
