ANNOUNCEMENT Personal Attacks and Retaliations

Over the past couple of days it has to our attention that members are not posting in the spirit of the forum and are violating our rules. In particular our 'No Personal Attacks or Retaliations' rule which states:

No Personal Attacks or Retaliation
Personal attacks such as instigating "flame bait", verbal abuse, mocking or sexist remarks of members in posts are not tolerated at BroncosHQ. Such posts will be deleted on sight or moderated accordingly. Any posts deemed by the staff to be condescending and insulting, while remaining within the rules, will not be tolerated. Think of your posts as if you were standing face to face.

As above, if you are a long standing member, act like one. Lead by example and assist other newer members rather than attacking them. Members that reply to posts simply to instigate argument will be warned / suspended from forum areas.



The staff want to try and create the best environment for the community so if you believe you're in the violation of this rule, we implore you to take the appropriate measures.

If you see a post that violates those rules, instead of responding to it, simply report it and we will deal with it.

We'd also like to remind everybody of the ignore function that can be located under Settings ---> My Account ---> Edit Ignore List. As a member, you're free to use it at your leisure but we recommend it for occasions where you find that certain members are detracting from your experience on BroncosHQ.

We would also like to let you know that we have updated our warning system points and ban levels. The rules page will be updated to reflect this soon.

We will also be re-writing some of the rules to make them more clear to our members.

The following changes were made in direct response to those few here who feel it's ok to belittle other members, or continue their argumentative agendas, especially when they are spilling in to nearly every thread. So for those who are stuck on this Bennett hate, I suggest you move on.

We believe the changes will be fair for those members who are here to discuss their team with other adults. For the children among us, you know who you are, these are for you.

We will not be going to extra work to issue these, so everything is business as ususal, but if you do get on the wrong side of the rules here, the punishment will be a bit harsher, and bans for those repeat offenders will come about a lot quicker.

Warning System Changes
All infraction points issued will now carry a 12 month expiry date. Meaning the points will expire 12 months after the last points are added to your account. If you receive 3 points on January 1, they remain there until January 1 the following year.

If in that 12 months you receive another point, it will extend this a further 12 months.

The points for an offence have also been increased on some, and the points required for an automatic ban have been reduced slightly.

• Circumvent the Word Filter -- 1 Point
• Pointless Post -- 1 Point
• Inappropriate Content -- 2 Points
• Flame another member -- 2 Points
• Baiting another member or group of members -- 2 Points
• Insult / Personal Attack another member -- 3 Points
• Ignore Staff Request -- 3 Points (THIS INCLUDES WHEN WE WARN YOU IN THREAD TO MOVE ON!)
• Piracy or Illegal Content -- 3 Points
• Racism -- 10 Points

In some instances, like usual, we will still issue warnings if we don't deem the offence to be enough to warrant being issued infraction points, which is how we operate now.

The automatic ban levels are now:

• 7 Points -- 24 Hours
• 10 Points -- 3 Days
• 12 Points -- 7 Days
• 14 Points -- 3 Months
• 16 Points -- Permanent Ban

For those who seem hell bent in making sure their voice is heard above others, who ruin constant threads, and who belittle other members, this is your warning. We have so many good people on here who just want to talk footy with other fans, the constant niggle, bickering, and outright childish behaviour means that many people just don't bother replying.
