Resigning Henjak now is IMO perfect timing. The guy is down on self confidence and no doubt starting to question his ability. The Broncos have done the right thing in resigning him as it will take the "job" pressure off him so he can focus on getting us out of this hole. I really don't think Henjak is our problem, our defensive coaching staff (not sure if there is more then just Ryan) MUST GO!!!!!!!!!
For years the Broncos have had one of the worst defensive records of any team, constantly over at least 5 years. This has been some what hidden by a very effective attack and willingness in cover defence. I said at the beginning of the year when someone posted "what do you want from this year" that an improvement in our one on one defence was the main change I was hoping to see from Henjaks reign. Well now we know that when it rains it pours and 126 points against in 6 games is the worst in the NRL, and the defensive coach says "it doesn't matter". I beg to differ.
Get your defence in order your attack will take care of it's self. So my humble opinion is that we find out which team has the best defensive stats and we offer that coaching team what ever it takes to get them here for next season.
