Maybe we should let the front office know what we think of our current players and how they have played this year. [icon_lol1.

Lets have a go and see what happens

Darren Lockyer - Is still a special player but is much slower this year. Only 2-3 games this year up to his standard
K - Hunt - This has been his worst season for the club - his head has been elswhere. Still better than most though
Justin Hodges - Has been strong all year, but starting to try too hard and mouthing off again
Israel Folau - icon_thumbs_u - He has been awesome (as a winger - not centre)
Corey Parker - strong early but has been found out as the season has progressed - NOT A LOCK
Sam Thaiday - Inconsistent - some good games but should only be used wide and not up the middle
Nick Kenny - Workmanlike - probably not heavy enough, has been one of the most consistent players - sorely missed
Peter Wallace - inconsistent - the powderpuff forwards have dwindled his confidence
Joel Clinton - Better effort but starting to drop off - have a feeling he will be gone soon
Andrew McCullough - good prospect but has not helped our go forward co-ordination - will get better - investment
Alex Glenn - HAS TO BE OUR LOCK-currently suffering from pack weaknesses but excellent first year - future captain
Josh Hoffman - potential - biggest problem is that he is not reading the play and is consistently our of position
Steve Michaels - [icon_thumbs_do , no confidence - his best game has been ordinary. No room for the future.
Ben Te'o - done some good things but who is the wide backrower - him or Thaiday - no room for both
Josh McGuire - Good debut season but loosing confidence as the team drops. Good prospect
Dale Copley - Exciting player - should be put in centres and left there. Needs to trust inside men, but good prospect
Gerard Beale - FUTURE FULLBACK - has better vision and positioning than Hoffman - unlucky injury - future star
Ben Hunt - showed in 2nd game what he can do - needs to be in team with strong halves partner to learn
Antonio Winterstein - started strong but loosing confidence fast - unsure if long term 1st grade player
Ashton Sims - [icon_shru , should be good but is not - maybe still here to keep his brother in the squad long term?
PJ Marsh - big fan but should have taken charge early - looks to have been left behind - doubt long term future
Jharal Yow Yeh - Young and inconsistent. Poor reader in defence. Likely to be passed by others next year
Lagi Setu - Inconsistent - does he know his role in the team? - Could be great, but needs a leader
Guy Williams - his few games he has been strong - David Stagg like - better option than Parker IMHO
Aaron Gorrell - Slow and predictable - poor option - better options in QLD Cup
David Hala - Glad to see him get a go - Will be good but again needs a leader to follow - 10-15 games next year
Dave Taylor - FRUSTRATING - could be anything - but not for the Broncos  Needs disclipline - needs leadership
Palmer Wapau - another who does not know his job on the field - seems lost

I hope I have not missed any.

Obvious areas of concern are as follows:

1. No Leadership in the Forwards
2. No confidence in each other - defence or attack
3. Roles in the forwards are not definative
4. Lack of accountability - 4-5 players from Qld Cup should have replaced the non performers early.

Please comment on players - someone get this in Bruno and Ivans hands.

I agree 100% on your opinion about Gerard Beale. The kid is a star.

I think the most obvious concern is the lack of respect.

I think you've hit the nail on the head, Nashy.

None for the club, none for the cause and, as it appears from the outside looking in at least, none for each other either.

I reckon a lot of us have been easy on Locky this year imo. He probably deserves it but seriously guys his time has come. His trying don't get me wrong but he's trying to squeeze out water from a rock - his not even a quarter of the player he is right now... I'm really, really unsure about signing him for another two years... I'd rather move on then have him for another two years (where we MOST likely won't really be a top 4 side realistically) and then have the club really gone nowhere in two years... something to think about imo.

I don't agree. Lockyer can't be expected to do it alone. He needs the blokes around him to do something. And to be frank, they are all fucking shit.

Those ratings seem pretty darn good. I wouldn't say much different.

True to a certain extent - I'm not really doubting his skills and ability... I truly think age has caught up to him. He's also the type of player where he needs his pace and fitness to be in good condition to play optimally. I thought maybe we could use a 'Jason Smith' tactic/approach the Cowboys used a few years ago but I don't think it really works for Locky.

I don't know... he looks so flat this year and defense can only get harder for him as time goes on... I just think the game is too fast for him (and will only get faster)... am I being too harsh?

I think so. He's still the only player I have seen this year who genuinely cares for the jersey. He looked genuinely upset last night after that match and at the post game interview.

I know where you're coming from Nashy - and I agree with you there.

What I am saying however is he just can't keep up with the pace of today's game. (esp against the better teams)

I hear what you are saying but if we had a better and more committed pack we wouldn't be having this conversation

I agree with Nashy, Lockyer is the only one who looks like he cares out there. He hasn't been at his best this year but is still a hell of a lot better than pretty much the rest of the team. If the rest of them tried as hard as him we wouldn't be in this position!

Hunt 5/10. Has just scrapped in with a pass mark. He has had a few brilliant games like the one against eh Eels, but other than that he looks like he doesn't want to be here.
Winterstein 6/10. If this was being done in round 7, he'd probably score 8. Has had a very impressive debut year, and has some genuine speed that other Broncos outside backs lack. Definitely needs to get as far away from Michaels as possible so he gets the ball.
Michaels 3/10. Really has been disappointing and his defense is non-existent.
Hodges 8.5/10. He really has stepped up this year and is a consistent club footballer. It's obvious he cares and has given great service on the right hand side. He's obviously missed having Falou outside him the last three weeks.
Falou 9/10. I really don't think we could have asked for more from him in his first year here. He has been excellent again under the high ball and has improved on finishing off tries. Could be an option at fullback if things don't work out with Hoffman or Beale.
Lockyer 7/10. Was great at the start of the year, but injury and his team aren't helping him late in the season. Quality player.
Wallace 6/10. He had a great game just before Origin two (I think it was against the Tigers) and if he could find space with his kicks like that every week, the club would be in a much better position.
Kenny 7/10. He has really come on this year, and I definitely think he has Origin potential.
McCullough 6.5/10. He really showed us what he could do early in the season when the team had good go forward, has been a bit lost, but again showed us what he's capable of in the last 20 minutes against the Titans when he took matters into his own hands. Needs to rely on his instincts more. Definitely a player of the future.
Clinton 7.5/10. Really, the only disappointing thing he's done all season is invite someone back to his room. On the field he has been great. It's disappointing we never got to see Clinton and Petero in the same team.
Setu 4/10. Has massive potential, but where is it? Goes missing far too much.
Te'o 4/10. Has had some impressive games, but lacks the consistency. Could be a dangerous runner on the edge, but for some reason is not doing all that he should.
Parker 6.5/10. Up until the Sharks game he would easily have rated an 8 or 9, he was so strong for us early. Perhaps a slight knee injury has hurt his form.
Thaiday 6/10. Seems to have suffered from the KHunt syndrome after a scandal late last year. It's a shame, Boyd is the only one of the three making the drama a distant memory by playing outstanding.
Glenn 7.5/10. Has done really well. Had a great game against the Warriors in round 3. Shouldn't be punted around. Should either be used as a utility off the bench or Lock.
Taylor 3/10. PlEASE! Dave Taylor. Play like you did against the Warriors every week and you could stay in Brisbane for close to what you are getting in Redfern and we'd be still in the top 4. That's how good you could be!
Yow Yeh (sp?) 3/10. He was pretty good at the start of the season, but had a ashocker against the Bulldogs, agree above will probably get overtaken next year by somebody else.
Ben Hunt 3/10. Didn't think he was that bad against the Sharks in a well beaten team. Had a pretty good game against the Titans and was devastated he didn't play last night. Probably good for him in the end. I just hope he's been sitting there all day saying, "I would have made the difference last night. I would have won us the game." That's the attitude we need!
Copely 5/10. A good pass mark for coming back well after a disastrous debut. Was solid against the Eels.
Hoffman 3/10. He was poo last night. Will need a fair bit of work of the offseason. We need Belcher back on staff.
Williams 5/10. Hard to make judgement, as he just goes about his job. Nothing outstanding, but far from incapable.
Sims 5/10. I actually don't think he's been that bad this season. Should be rating at least 8, has plenty of potential. Something not clicking there.

I've probably missed a few, but hae covered most.
