Maguire did such a good job at the Tigers...... I'm sure that's who we need.

Seems part of being a successful head coach is bouncing back from failures and sackings. He's been sacked/forced out by NZ, Souths and the Tigers. The Tigers were in 13th place when he was sacked, Souths were at 12th, the same as us this season.

I don’t even think he would have had any kind of success with that team.

It would be extremely rare for a head coach to be sacked and still remain involved with the club.

Even in the unlikely event, said head coach was prepared to remain involved with the club, the club would never allow it ... To much of a risk that the players get confused or the new coach gets undermined (either intentionally or accidentally)
