POST GAME POST GAME [Round 2, 2023] Broncos vs Cowboys

I swear one of the cowboys’ short drop outs didn’t go 10 metres but it was play on when they caught the ball.

Yeah I thought the same, looked like the contest for it happened about 1-2 metres inside the 10m line, but of course much like Nanai's second try there were apparently no replays available for us to see for sure.

In the wet

I actually think 42k is a very disapointing crowd for a game like this. Going back to football, I couldn't image a similar game like Liverpool vs United or the Glasgow derby not being a sell-out no matter what the conditions.

.....…I stopped, he’d suck his own dick if he could.

Being live at the game, I cannot remember seeing such an electric performance from a bronco fullback since D Lockyer, KHunt was amazing but his style of play was different - power and finesse play making. Watching Reece walsh play, I finally know what storm and cowboys fans felt watching Slater & Bowen.

I really hope he can keep it up, after the whole Milford career debacle I know we can’t count our chickens for another year or two. But…. WOW!

So, those Himu knock ons….omg, the bullshit chant was satisfying af.

Honestly disappointed in Staggs. Hardly see him take any hit ups and doesn’t really inject himself in to the game.
You saw the difference on a kick chase.

Ezra comes from behind Staggs, giving it everything he has to get to the ball.....Ezra almost scores

Meanwhile Staggs is jogging in the background.....the lazy ****.

Walsh made such a difference last night, I got flashes of Lockyer and Langer, and then immediately worried he might get injured and we'd struggle without him. Weird pessimistic train of thought, but we've got a live one here.

We should never have let him go.

Yeah I'm off Staggs. He's a lazy ****.
He looks like an absolute plodder with ball in hand, can't believe we're losing Herbie.

I assume its Arthurs up next on the left wing - however it would alos be a good opportunity to bring Mariner or Hoerter onto our extended bench. Thye need to get aclimated to the first team this year with Herbie going. With Oates injury, now is the time to enact the sucession paln for our left centre position.

Speaking of which, Walsh. No wonder Herbie decided he will never get a chance at playing in the 1 here.

That job is Walshs for life.

The only downside to it - we "could" have had him play fullback all of last year if Kev and the front office hadnt screwed that up. Oh well, hes back now...

Our spine is coming together. Mam wont succeed Arey if what hes produced this year is any indication. Totally different half to Reynolds. We need to identify a long term half partner for Ezra.

Dummy half - dont get me started.

Last 10 minutes, Walters was on. Right at the crucial stage where we needed someone to take charge of the ruck for our forwards, and....yeh....nah.

Its coming together, you can see it now, but we "still" arent the complete team. The whole is less than the sum of the parts still.....but we are getting there.

Yeah I'm off Staggs. He's a lazy ****.

I'm off Billy. He's a useless ****.

You can't compare English football fans to rugby league fans.

No matter how passionate league fans are ... English soccer fans are in another atmosphere

The thing is lockyer debuted off the bench onto the wing. He was pretty good in limited opportunities.
That was walsh's first game for us. He literally shredded good defenders (and the cowboys are good).
The most impressive part was his kick through the line for the staggs try. It means even if they try and box him in, he can find a way. And the vision in attack was on another level. Its almost up there with reynolds himself.

Soccer is a shit TV sport. Their whole culture is about game days. The UK is absolutely bonkers cultrually around soccer.

League is not really a great live sport compared to AFL or Soccer where there is heaps of off the ball actions. Also rain.
