POST GAME POST GAME [Round 2, 2023] Broncos vs Cowboys

We just beat penrith and Cowboys plus was instrumental in getting Walsh back from warriors when we where cornered on having him as a starter a bit early.

We're two rounds into a long season. Still a long way to go.

Walsh was handed to us on a silver platter. We literally didn't need to do anything to get him back, just say yes.

Well said, very different to the tackle by Mitchell on Manu, not a clear shoulder charge, just stopped and propped to absorb impact, 4 weeks at most.
There is different gradings for shoulders to the jaw. I honestly think it wasn't as bad as some people do. But he will be gone for atleast 4 I would imagine. I think his record is clean so he probably gets what graham got or 2 weeks more because he broke his jaw.

i said last week nrl should just change the rules regarding illegal tackles.

IF a player is injured and out for the game due to an illegal tackle that tackler should also miss the rest of game.

And Make it that the player cannot return until the player he injured does.

If that means whole season so be it.

I know its not perfect system but it would be a hell of a lot better than clown fiesta we have now called the judiciary. At least this method can eliminate bias
You would have injury feigning big time if you went with that system. Imagine some role.player saying he broke his jaw in the grand final just to get a gun off the field. Would never work. Coaches would exploit it like everything else in the game

.Agree. I can't keep up with the MRP. How do they judge injuries these days? I assume its the same. I cant remember the last case. Carrigan probably got extra because of hastings leg last year That was one I remember
though different type of tackle I guess similar, Injury loading can seem a bit fucked but I think overall is fair, it's a hard swallow for the other team having a player out for awhile from an illegal tackle.

I agree with you that Hiku's was worse, both of them should be out for at least 4 weeks.

He has a good mentality and that would be his strong suit, his ability is defiantly low but he has alot of intent with his defence and doesn't give up, not a head dropper after a bad stint.
I agree 💯. I think the same thing when people are hanging shit on him here then I look at his first half and boy, it’s hard to defend him.

We were talking about the crusher tackle last week. That is what the rule was brought in for.

Yep it was a shocker but Taupau's hip drop was also pretty bad, very lucky your bloke wasn't injured.

the low ability but good mentality player is very underrated that alot seem to write off, given how much of the game is mental given the penalty swing and such it's an important trait in a player.

so i listened to the 3 merkins on fox again was the nine call any better?

As expected Klein (as I remember) could only award 1 six again against the Cows and that was when Capewell was in the clear and about to score. It must really burn this prick when we win games despite his efforts.

Also noticed that Cooper Cronk was talking up the Cows when they were leading then same again in the second half when we were in front. Surely Fox can sometimes use a different commentator for Broncos games.
Ennis is by far the worst. The entire Fox commentary team is f*cked. Voss’ use by date expired about 10 years ago and the rest love anyone playing the Broncos.

I still haven't decided with the hip drop. 95% of them are accidents to me. Very hard to determine. That was probably as close as you get to one. Not sure if he should be suspended though. I used to do it all the time haha. Only way I could get big units down.
