I'm unhappy. That was hot garbage for the majority of the game and the scoreline is not reflective. I actually feel for the Titans ending up with that, they were not that much worse. And the worst part is that it will paper over the SEVERE issues we have, bc we won so why change things.

Nothing has changed. We apparently learnt nothing from last week and the couple of weeks beforehand. Not prepared to do the hard work in the middle, refuse to build pressure, always going the hail Mary play... We bring that the next month and we lose every fucking game. Atrocious.

I'm really disappointed and now also concerned that we are still relying on individual brilliance to pull through. It is not good enough with a squad with this talent. I played through the season in the NRL ladder predictor lastnight and let me tell you, we have a really tough draw. It only gets worse from here, I'm glad we're banking these wins now because we really need to. It is quite possible we do not make the 8 even from where we are now. The saving grace is a lot of the top teams playing each other multiple times.

There is a hell of a lot to work on and I'm concerned Kev doesn't see it. Whatever he's saying before the game isn't working, thankfully whatever he's saying at half time, is. The bench use tonight was terrible and seems to be getting worse each week.

I'm satisfied that we won, but very very displeased with the way we played and the lack of improvement. We play like that and we will lose more than we win. WTF happened to the team from the first couple of rounds?? We need to get back to that ASAP. We might still be alone at the top of the table but IMO at the moment we are not a serious title threat. Melbourne, Panthers and probably even Souths and Roosters would kill us right now.
Spot on

Same team. We've been unconvincing every game, but here we are clear two points above second place on the table, and top on points differential. It's hard to argue with that one statistic.

I agree with a previous poster about Cobbo. It's like he's away with the fairies sometimes and maybe when Oates comes back give Cobbo a week in Q Cup to "freshen up".

if 14 runs for 172m is being "away with the fairies" ... then it's scary how good he'll be when he focuses on his game.

Yeah I wouldn’t exactly be putting that stat up tonight considering he got 70 metres from an intercept added to those numbers

Penrith has half as good attack as the Titans (12 points vs 26)? Our defence in particular is nowhere near where it was earlier in the season. We are going to get spanked in weeks coming if we keep playing this way, and that will not be pretty for the fragile mental state so many of these players still seem to have.

He looked a lot like his previous games of recent where he would switch off on his concentration. He made a few mistakes but the more worrying thing for me was that his runs out of our end looked pedestrian compared to the other backs. He looked lost a couple of times in attack and im not sure he is communicating well with staggs.
He did some spectacular things but dropping him would not be about getting those skills right but sharpening his mind set. Otherwise he will probably coast doing just enough until after origin where he will finish flat. Its what happened last year and i think he can do better (as can a few others)

I think when it come to Cobbo's runs out of our end he is doing as good as can be expected of him at the moment. Teams now know that he can make them look very silly if they are trying to smash him when he brings the ball back.

I really don't get the criticism of him of late.

Not to mention he's far from the biggest issue in the team.

Capewell was poor again this week, an error and 3 penalties. At least he wasn't a total liability in defence tonight.

Fucked if I know. Who tipped the Knights to take the Panthers to golden point, or Manly to flog the Storm?

Disagree, I think Canberra had their best game of the season last game and Titans had their best first half of the season against us, when your top dog other teams go at us harder then others and that's what is happening, in the second half we flattened them, the try that got them to 20 was just unlucky via Riki picking up the injury if you watch it, it would have been an easy cover had he not picked it up and the final try was just a silly last play.

If you watched the Penrith game against Newcastle, I thought they were poor, with the amount of ball they had there was no excuses for not putting a big score on the knights, in comparison when we get alot of ball we thump teams, because our middles are like a bowling ball to pins.

Can anyone explain WTF Corey Parker has against us as during the game he was legit a cheerleader for the Titans. I get trying to keep professionalism during commentary but you would think he played 347 games for the Titans. Did a fracture happen between him and the club and he is just like Tallis, bags the club?

There’s always been theories that he wasn’t happy about Bennett giving him the tap on the shoulder and being put in a position where he essentially was forced to retire early. Prior to that he was negotiating a new deal so he wanted to play on.

And then I believe he was let go from the coaching staff.

Could be why he seems to have some issue there.

The first half is worrying. It's like its a strategy with the way we are winning games. Go in the grind and play them even in the first half and then pull away in the second half. I'm not sure that's the best way to win playing the best teams at the back end of the year. There have been times were have looked vulnerable before pulling away from teams. Instead of dominating from the outset which the best teams do in the NRL.

I don't think its been mentioned but the Jayden Campbell kick that was charged down at the end of the first half. That resulted in a try was a huge momentum killer for the Titans. There was an element of luck for the Broncos with that. I thought we would run them down in the second half and we did.

The next five weeks is going to test the character of this team: Eels, Rabbitohs, Sea Eagles, Storm, and Panthers. It won't be easy.

I hope deep down the reason is he never used a player agent and it turns out the club were underpaying him and ripping him off for years.
