Yeah I agree, I hope he calms down and realises he overstepped. Maybe one day he will be back, I enjoyed reading his banter.

Exactly. He doesn't seem to realise how much legal advice costs, not to mention damages.
 
Legal advice, representation, court costs....and then if you lose, sheissenhausen!
 
It was bad enough earlier in the year!!

Pay MBF what they wanted. Lawyer was about $1100. And that was only 3 meetings, and about 30 minutes in court!
 
Hang on you banned him based on these threats, that is very very weak.. you didn't have issue with it when it was posted and if the mods had been on the ball they'd have killed that thread and issued a warning. Why have mods in the first place if they can't see that thread was over stepping the mark, blind freddy could.

I think hanging Hammo out to dry is pretty piss poor considering other failings. Also EFF would defend a case such as this pro bono if you contacted them. They haven't sued anyone over the drugs crap, and they have to prove that such a statement as was made actually did do damage to someone reputation not that it "could". There are other avenues as plenty of other Australian forums have proven in that they have all won cases brought against them.

I can understand your desire coxy to cover yourself as is your right, no one likes to be on the pointy end least of all me so I'm not having ago at you for complying as that is your choice and I respect it, but I don't agree with banning hammo over it. Thats just making him a scapegoat.

Can I ask did you also give out people identification information as they requested also?
 
No. They asked if I had the contact details and I said I did, but they didn't ask me to supply it.

And with all due respect, I don't give a **** if you think it was weak to do it or not. And FYI he's not the only one that was banned. kelsey tilsdale, and Dessie were also banned.
 
And to be fair, this isn't the first time Hammo has posted potentially inflammatory stuff on here.
 
And just FYI, the admins and I have been put on notice that they need to take a tighter rein on stuff like this. It should've been deleted immediately.

I can certainly see your point of view and I do respect it, I just worry that real discussion that is valid will also now be targeted. A lot of people here want Bruno gone and say negative things about him and his abilities, these people could argue that is slanderous as well and could harm his reputation so are we now not aloud to voice those opinions and others that could be seen as negative.

I think you take the good with the bad.. but I'm the first to say that thread was disgraceful.

I don't say a lot here but I am here every week reading as I have on the old board before it was lost and enjoy the different points of view being put across.
 
It's been made pretty clear if it's judgment on the players or officials performances, then there's not much wrong with it. It's accusations of things that defame their character etc that cause the problems.
 
Also, I've requested he be banned from the host POV too. So even if BHQ didn't ban him, he's not coming back onto the server.
