3. McGuire - When he left the field, we were routed. That pretty much says it all. He needs to play as many minutes as possible\

2. Gillett - Ran a great line to get our only try. He surprised me. Glenn might want to look over his shoulder

1. Blair - Our only debutant who did anything worth mentioning.

Worst:

3. Whitchurch - Nothing but dropped ball and penalties. This guy would struggle in QCup.

2. Thaiday - I thought his body language wasn't great tonight. He talked himself up to Lockyer for a channel 9 comment then did sweet **** all.

1. Milford - Yep, I expected better. He was quiet as the grave all night. Special mention goes to Gavet for a pretty poor debut, I hope he improves.

Very undecided between McGuire and Gillett. My man-crush and the try deciding the tie. Daylight after them though, but Hunt was equal to himself, so he gets the remaining point...

3. Matt Gillett - Only player who went out there and wanted to make something happen. I understand he has flaws in his game but I honestly cannot understand how any die-hard Brisbane supporter cannot get behind the guy. Always plays with plenty of heart and even puts his hand up when he shouldn't even be playing...just somebody who makes you proud as a fan.

2. Alex Glenn - Typical Glenn performance. Not the heaviest work-load in defence, but a handful with each carry no matter the context. Thought he was really unlucky not to earn more penalties...given the current rules...I thought some of the Souths defenders were given too much lee-way which took away from his impact.

1. Justin Hodges - Didn't get many opportunities but outside of Gillett was the only player that looked dangerous and looked like he was going to create anything.

Honorable Mentions...

Ben Hunt - Didn't think much of his kicking game but a lot of traffic was sent his way and to his credit, he dealt with a lot of it.

Andrew McCullough - Was a defensive slog and along with Dodds he was our best defensive player. Considered him for a point, but Brisbane conceded too many points for me to justify it to myself.

Not much separating these three. McGuire gets top marks for being the most consistent go forward throughout.

Gillett coming in second as I thought he was incredibly effective for the time he was on. Considering his surgery and lack of prep, very impressed.

Glenn involved as always, and I thought he actually did quite well to dent the line, considering his frame. Unfortunately a held call was a licence to jog him back five minutes and crunch him into his back. Still never shied from the contest.
