Yeah I think he was about to put it down the first time, but there wasn't really any pressure coming so he thought "I can get this a bit closer", then all of a sudden Harry and co appeared and he was like "oh shit"... but they were blocking up the area where he could put the ball down so he had to get around them.
I wonder how Mariner goes for outright speed, competition wise.Yep thats how I saw it too .
You can`t buy speed like Mariner has though .
It looks like he’s lost a bit since his debut but he’s made up for it in strength.I wonder how Mariner goes for outright speed, competition wise.

I watched the 2006 Grand Final this morning. We certainly had a few nice calls go our way. Slater made so many line breaks. Berrigan was phenomenal.. probably our most underrated player of all time. Lockyer the ultimate pro.
Walsh is his own player but he's almost that perfect combination of Lockyer and Slater.
1995 I reckon, looks like this one and m sport was the maker around that time as far as I recallView attachment 36576Got gifted this today from a good mate. It’s an original, not retro. In incredible condition. Can someone date it for me? Early 1990’s right?
Awesome. Thank you! What a keeper.1995 I reckon, looks like this one and m sport was the maker around that time as far as I recall
I felt really dirty at the time too. But things like the Billy slater drop kick non knock on etc etc really helped me change my mind. There were 3 big ones if I remember correctly. Slater being called as going over the sideline (replays showed he didn't), King's no try, called a knock on by the video ref, even though it appeared to be precisely sideways which should be (according to the rules of the time) benefit-of-the-doubt to the try scorer. And I think a clear obstruction one play before we scored a try?
Even at the time I was a little uneasy about winning a premiership that way, but as 19 years went by, boy have I cherished that one.
