Round 7 Devils vs Dolphins game was on Foxsports 2 at 5:30 this morning.

they may of only showed it cos of the bye week but who knows.

Another Qld Cup game Norths Burleigh was shown in the early hours on Thursday this week to so it must be a case of check your Foxtel book.

Qld Cup news sounds interesting with Wendell maybe getting a run with Easts or the Jets before he steps up to the big league.Now that would be a money maker for those clubs.Hope Easts get to give him a go with injured players atm.
not to mention the crowd figures to go up. icon_thumbs_u

But all Easts injuries are in the forwards, so unless St George are going to play him there I hope he stays far away from Langlands.

The injury situation keeps getting worse for Easts as well, Trent Young screwed his knee in the last minute of the game yesterday and is probably out for the year.

Yeah I saw it. Was talking to him after the game as well - really not looking good. [icon_thumbs_do Disatrous end to a distarous second half really.

Strangest game I ve seen in a long while out at Dolphin Oval today. Burleigh centre Adam Fielder scored 5 tries...in a LOSING side [icon_ee

WOW!!!

The end to the Easts vs Jets FOGS game was cool. Jets leading 22-18 and right on the bell their winger gathered the ball in their in-goal and instead of grounding it or anything kind of just stood there and one one of the Easts players took it out of his hands and grounded it - TRY for a draw (Easts missed the kick). It was pretty funny to see the looks on the players faces and event he crowd couldn't really believe what happened.

Sucks about Trent :( ... any updates on him?? i'm hoping it's not as bad as first thought.

Does anyone know if Scott Young is still playing in the Qcup??

Trent Young update - still looking like the season. Having another scan next week and know for sure then.

And I am not 100% on Scott Young, but I do have a vague recollection of seeing him on a team sheet recently.

Latest update on Trent - he was the "Trainer" for Easts today - was walking up and down the sidelines all game and running the water. No strapping/brace on his knee so probably not as bad as first thought. But didn't get to talk to him so know 100% sure when he'll be back.

Latest Easts injury news - Wade Liddell may have torn his A/C joint, however it also may just be badly bruised. Have to wait for swelling to go down before he can get an MRI and accurate diagnosis. Easts just can't take a trick with injuries so far this year - finished with only 1 player on the bench again today.

He's named at fullback this weekend, so evidently it wasn't anything too serious. I'll be down at Langlands this arvo and there will be a report on the website. icon_thumbs_u

Yeah, saw him the other day, luckily just bruising.

I won't make it to today's game - need to be in Redcliffe before 6 and won't have time to get there if I go to the game. But will read your report with interest
