Queensland Bulls 2017/2018

That's awesome but no relevance.

Show me a quote from Chris saying he can't wait to play Shield and he's doing everything he can to be fit to play Shield or long form cricket It's about the Heat.

Which is fine, I have no issue with that at all. Like I said I think he won't bother trying anymore.

“It’s all going well. Hopefully I can stay on the paddock for a longer period of time than what I have.
“I’ve only really gone a couple of tournaments here and there then been out for a few months.
“If I can stay on the paddock for 12 months there is plenty of opportunities, not only in Australia but around the world.
“It’s something I look forward to. I know I’m definitely good enough.”

Is Shield cricket being played around the world now?

We play Test cricket around the world if you're not aware..

But yes, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that his priority and speciality is T20. That doesn't mean he can't play Shield as well. Guys like Head & Finch are viewed as shorter form specialists but still play Shield, it's pretty common.

I didn’t say he can’t, I said I don’t think he wants to or will.

He has limited cricket in his body. Is he going to spend that in Cairns playing SA or WI earning a million dollars?

You can’t seriously think his tournaments around the world comment meant he can’t wait to play Test cricket in Bangladesh!

Head and Finch are their state's captains!

There's a tournament in WI where people can be earning a million dollars right now? Why isn't there a bunch of Australians over there? You've gotta imagine 99% of shield cricketers would rather be earning money in a T20 tournament..

Obviously this is a bit hard for you.

I am not saying I don't think he will commit to Shield cricket because of a diary clash. He can do both it's not about things on at the same time!

It would have been obvious to anyone else but I'll help you since you're new to cricket. He's had some injury problems for the last seven years and if he only has a certain amount of games in his body I think he will side with the less taxing more lucrative and save himself for that.

Slog away uncontracted for Qld and maybe injure himself again when fielding is a huge risk or keep fresh and safe for BBL, IPL or CPL.

I think he will go B. If I am wrong and come round 6 he's batting against Tasmania then all good Qld could use him but I doubt it very much.

It really wasn't too hard to understand.

Five of Burns' 12 100's for Queensland have been against South Australia.

140 is his highest score against South Australia- made on debut.

Cutting, Hogg, Lynn and Watson were the only Australian's to get a spot in the CPL. It was on the same time as the tour of Bangladesh and India.

None of them play Shield.

Why do you always have to resort to insulting people instead of just having a civilised discussion? Im not new to cricket for the record, in fact I can guarantee I've played a higher grade of cricket than you ever have or will. Now ease up Mr. Nuffie.

I don't doubt that he will prioritise T20, I've said that several times (Which you refuse to acknowledge for some reason.) I just think that he can do both, it's in the same category as resting Test bowlers, it's a waste of time, cricketers are better off playing cricket, he'll have nothing better to do during Shield season, he'll want to play cricket to keep in touch, there's no better place to do that than Shield, even if he only plays every second game.

To say that he'll refuse to play 4 day cricket because he's terrified of getting injured in the field just isn't logical, he's equally as likely to re-hurt his shoulder practicing his T20 shots in the nets.

5-389 Declared

Burns 202*
Peirson 82*

Sucks that we didn't let Jimmy get his 100..

Burns went past Love and Hayden.

Love got 201 v New Zealand in 1997
Hayden got 201 v Victoria 1994

His 202 is equal with Love's 202 from 2001 v South Australia.
Equal 30th highest score for Queensland.

Third 200 from a Queenslander in the last 10 years.
