How much 'coaching' does the coach do at Origin level for Queensland though?

I guess it depends on who it is. If it it was Billy Slater, I'd imagine they'd follow a similar practice as when Mal was 'coach'. A lot of the coaching/gameplan falls on the assistants, with the figurehead at the top to inspire and instil the ethos of that Queenslander spirit in the team.

Is it really that difficult to appoint Green and have Billy, Hodgo, etc. as assistants close to the group that take over when Green gets his next NRL gig
