Queensland Cricket 2019/2020

Why Renshaw at 4 ?
I thought he was sposed to be the Aussie opener for the next 10 years a cpl of seasons back .

This isn't the Sheffield Shield, this is ODI. You might have noticed Burns at 5 as well and not opening?

Heazlett out for 88, another good innings, just can't quite go on with it.

100 up for Khawaja, good return, he was the best ODI batsman in Australia a couple of years ago.

322 is about 50 short of what I thought they’d get.

Stanlake’s new Bichel taught slower ball he’s been talking about might be a winner today. It’s going to take deception to get wickets.

Heazlett has to be playing his way into an Aussie jersey surely. He is the perfect model to try and follow England's model with a berserk tempo game.

Something like:

1. Heazlett
2. Finch/Warner
3. Khawaja
4. Smith
5. Maxwell/Anyone else who can bat in overdrive/go through gears (what is Mike Hussey doing?)
6. Carey (wk)
7. Faulkner
8. Agar
9. Starc
10. Cummins
11. J.Richardson

Something like that.

Zampa still better than Agar in ODI's imo, Stoinis over Faulkner as well.

1. Heazlett

6. Stoinis
7. Carey
8. Cummins
9. Starc

Yep I’m not against that either. That said, M.Marsh is good at ODI, he is probably a better option than Stoinis. Faulkner is totally underrated now.

They don't play until they go to India in January. This will be forgotten about and someone with an awesome BBL will go.

Good win and have Victoria on Tuesday too, so chance to keep them down again.

Excellent news, it's a shame it's only for the 2nd half of the season.

1. Sam Heazlett
2. AB de Villiers (Max Bryant)
3. Marnus Labuschagne (Matthew Renshaw)
4. Chris Lynn (c)
5. Joe Burns
6. Ben Cutting
7. Jimmy Peirson
8. James Pattinson
9. Mark Steketee
10. Majeeb Ur Rahman
11. Zahir Khan (Mitch Swepson / Matt Kuhneman / Josh Lalor)

That's a squad that can win the title. We actually have pretty nice batting depth this year with the emergence of Heazlett & Labuschagne. Not sure how many games we'll get Marnus for though, with the Summer test matches. I assume Khan & Ur Rahman will be our 2 Internationals until AB arrives, at which point Khan will head home.

I wonder if that side is one too pace bowling heavy.

Bulls batting 0/83

Good start, need some 100’s

Heazlett has to be a shoo-in for the odi side. Come ti think of it, as good as Carey went in the WC, is McDermott better?

Nice quick 69 from Heazlett.

Khwaja again looks pretty comfortable out there.

Another ton for Usman, 50 up for Renshaw as well. Our batting line-up is elite.
