Pauli certainly doesn't help matters, but I'd contend the Mullen's discretion was a blessing in disguise.
As @Unbreakable pointed out, Brown was already looking at ways to move Mullen out of the club. Now that he's been presented with the opportunity, he can focus on the Lamb/Hodkinson pairing without any unnecessary distractions.
I find them a tough team to predict. At this stage, it'd be easy to see them to write them off as a glorified bye, but they should do better than 2016. It's just a matter of trying to pick which teams they'll beat.
