BRONCOS five-eighth Anthony Milford is on a mission to rediscover his confidence.
The Brisbane sensation revealed today he had struggled in recent weeks due to a loss of the self-belief he had at the start of the season.
The Broncos have lost five of their past seven games, with Milford largely silenced by opposition teams.
Milford is “not too sure” why his confidence evaporated.
But the playmaker said he was determined to find that self-belief again and get back to his best.
“It’s about getting my confidence back,” he said
“I went away from my game and there were stages where I would just drift in and out.
“I just need to be better.
“I’m slowly coming back to where I was at the start of the year.”
Brisbane will need to be back at their absolute best for Friday, if they are to be any chance of beating the red-hot Storm.
They suffered their worst loss of the season last Saturday when they went down to the Bulldogs 40-14.
The Broncos and Milford will be boosted this week by the return of hooker Andrew McCullough (thumb) and back Jordan Kahu (shoulder).
While McCullough had to sit out today’s training session, he will be named this afternoon by coach Wayne Bennett to take on Melbourne.
Kahu meanwhile trained strongly this morning.
