I actually think in his last year at the Sharks he was getting to grips with the fullback role. He got better and better as the year went on. IF the Cowboys are keen to offload him, and i think they would be because they wont want to be paying 800k a year for a winger, then we could get him with them chipping in a bit.

If they’re chipping in then I wouldn’t say no, if we could get him on a 550/600 contract that worth a shot.

Could staggs make the jump? I know you’re not keen on him out of centre/ back row but if latrine can play fb and well might I add, surely staggs could potentially be a weapon back there.

Latrell was a fullback coming through, only got moved because of Tedesco. Has Staggs ever played fullback?

I wouldnt want to pay Val fullback money anyway. I'd prefer if they went after Hammer... although I would've preferred Walsh out of the two anyway.

Out of Hammer, Drinkwater, Val and Walsh for $500k... I'd probably still be willing to take the punt on Walsh.

But it doesnt really seem like we have a plan for anything...
- 700k for Staggs (why??)....
- 400k for Coates (still only looks like a winger)....
- Lose Dearden (on top of ATay, Bhunt, Boyd, Walker... better re-sign Milf as a last resort)
- Lose Piakura to a $400k deal (likely walks into the starting 2nd row next year, but we arent willing to offer starting money)
- $400k-$600k on Flegler (why?? the middle rotation is already stacked)

At some point you have to take a punt... if you think they're going to be a starter next year why not a short term decent deal. If Piakura or Walsh fail it's only $400k-$500k.

We're paying Oates over $500k ... why?? He was literally the last signing we made in 2019 and was already on the downward slide... cool sounds like a guy that needs $500k with 2x PO

No idea, he’s fit and can run the ball like a banshee though. Not sure if he has the footy IQ for it.

A year out of the game is something Holme's talent couldn't afford. He hasn't come back the same and I think his best is behind him. Pass.

The question would've been about Munster's interest in joining a 2nd Brisbane team... very doubtful the question was "are you interested in going to the Broncos?"

CM: "Well I wouldnt say no to a second Brisbane team"

All he said was he'd like to head back to Brisbane.

Every club in the league will put 1.2 in front of him...well except the Roosters, they'll offer 200k and win.
 
Warriors have made a huge risk with their cap by getting this kid. Unproven and now the pressure of replacing a legend (RTS) on huge wedge...

Isaako looks like our long term fullback now. Thats one less headache for the coach on how to keep your number 1 kicker in the run on side without trying to fit Walsh in...

And his stats from the Parra game for very good. 40 plus touches, thats approaching Tedesco like touches...
 
No...im NOT saying he is Tedesco...thought i should add that...

Solely in terms of touches....Isaako had more last game than Croft....and thats good, thats a modern use of a fullback...

Something to build on....but he certainly needs to do more with those touches than he showed last game too...
